Obama Suddenly FLIPS On Biden - Throws Him Under The Bus

Former President Barack Obama has recently voiced substantial criticism toward his former vice president, President Joe Biden, in conversations with his supporters. Obama contends that Biden's handling of the repercussions from his poor debate performance is inadequate.

Obama believes Biden's actions jeopardize the Democrats' efforts to prevent former President Donald Trump from reclaiming the White House.

The Washington Post has reported on private conversations where the 44th president allegedly noted that Biden's chances of winning have diminished after last week's disastrous debate with Trump. During this debate, Biden seemed unresponsive, slow to react, and missed opportunities to challenge President Trump on his actions and statements.

Multiple sources familiar with Obama's comments indicate that his confidence in Biden is waning, despite reaching out to discuss his opinions and offer support for the president's strategic planning. It remains unclear whether Obama specifically criticized Biden's debate performance.

“President Biden is grateful for President Obama’s unwavering support since the very start of this campaign as both a powerful messenger to voters and a trusted adviser directly to the president,” said Lauren Hitt, a spokeswoman for the Biden campaign, in a statement to the Post.

Following the June 27th debate, Biden and his supporters have worked to reassure major donors and party officials about the president's mental acuity and chances of winning in November. President Obama, who has not commented on the latest reports, expressed concerns about the campaign's direction even before the debate, according to sources.

Nevertheless, Obama continues to advocate for Biden on social media and at campaign events, including a notable fundraiser in New York he attended on Friday.

“Bad debate nights happen,” Obama wrote on social media post-debate. “Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.

Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November.”

At a private White House lunch in December, President Obama raised concerns about the Democratic Party's ability to counter a resurgent Trump, who seemed to be gaining momentum despite numerous criminal convictions. The former president suggested Biden bring more senior decision-makers into his campaign to enable quicker response times.

A month later, key aides Jennifer O'Malley Dillon and Mike Donilon left the White House to join the campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.

In the past month, Obama attended a high-profile Hollywood fundraiser, raising a substantial $28 million for Biden's reelection campaign. Short videos from the event showed Biden appearing disoriented on stage, being guided off by his former boss, who placed a hand on his back to direct him.
