All Hell Breaks Loose Between 2 Fox News Hosts LIVE On Air Over Trump
Fox News co-hosts Jessica Tarlov and Jeanine Pirro had a spirited exchange about Donald Trump's lengthy speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Tarlov argued that Trump’s extensive, off-the-cuff remarks, totaling 9,000 words, conflicted with his stated goal of fostering unity, both nationally and within the Republican party.
On Friday’s episode of The Five on Fox News, Tarlov, a Democrat strategist and co-host, acknowledged the emotional impact of Trump’s personal account of the moment when shots were fired on Saturday, calling it significant for the nation to hear.
However, Tarlov diverged from her conservative co-hosts afterward, claiming the remainder of the speech was vastly different.
“The speech was supposed to be 3,000 words, and he ended up with 12,000 words. So that’s 9,000 words of ad-libbing,” she said. “If you think all those ad-libs were unifying and about bringing people together, you are sorely mistaken.”
Tarlov also criticized CNN commentators Scott Jennings, a Republican, and Van Jones, a Democrat, for their analyses.
“I don’t understand why pundits like Van Jones and Scott Jennings, for instance, aren’t tired of being embarrassed by saying that Donald Trump has changed,” she said. “There were no actual olive branches. When you look at the policies he talked about, he was speaking to that room and that room only. He wasn’t addressing Nikki Haley voters or left-leaning independents.”
Tarlov listed some of Trump’s points in his extensive remarks, including references to “‘Crazy Nancy Pelosi,’ name-checking Joe Biden despite saying he wouldn’t, and talking incessantly about the migrant invasion and its impact on the country.”
“More election denying, ‘they cheated,’ ‘We’ll never let that happen again,’ ‘I’m a victim,’” she continued. “Praising figures like Viktor Orban and saying Kim Jong Un misses him?”
At this point, the debate quickly unraveled as Tarlov’s co-hosts jumped in with various arguments about immigration and the border, or to assert that Trump is an entertainer, resulting in cross-talk.
When Pirro stated that the phrase “migrant invasion” is “about the illegality being brought into this country,” Tarlov retorted, “I’m not a big dum-dum, I know what it’s about!”
When Pirro claimed everyone was attentive during the speech, Tarlov countered by saying she was physically present on the floor of the RNC.
“They fell asleep and people were leaving!” Tarlov said.
