All Hell Breaks Loose LIVE On The Set Of Fox’s ‘The Five’

During a mid-August episode of The Five on Fox News, Greg Gutfeld got into a heated discussion with his co-host Jessica Tarlov, frequently his debate counterpart, over Kamala Harris’ economic proposals. Gutfeld notably argued that Kamala’s ideas were “communist.”

The debate kicked off when Tarlov voiced her support for Harris, citing Kamala’s “middle-class upbringing,” which she contrasted with former President Donald Trump. Gutfeld, however, countered by expressing his admiration for Trump’s history of successful business ventures, particularly in real estate, seeing them as proof of his expertise and confidence.

“I’d much rather listen to someone who started as a millionaire and became a billionaire than someone who has no clue about economics,” Gutfeld remarked, referring to Trump. He then criticized Harris, saying, “Kamala Harris is the most insecure candidate I’ve ever encountered on any issue.”

Gutfeld went on to claim that Harris has been “burdened by the weight of expectations placed on her by the media,” which has only amplified her difficulties. He described her situation as a perfect “campaign ad” for Trump’s reelection efforts, saying, “It’s the best Trump campaign ad I’ve ever seen. She’s doing a better job than Trump at campaigning.”

Shifting the conversation to economics, Gutfeld criticized one of Harris’ proposals: “Let’s start with the down payment issue on the House. A lot of this stuff is infuriating because they’re treating Americans like idiots. She puts forth a proposal that’s only half of the equation. The first part is the ‘nice’ thing, but what’s missing is, who pays for it?”

He then broadened his criticism to other areas, referencing student loan forgiveness: “You saw this with student loan theft, which they describe as forgiveness. Who’s paying for it? You are,” Gutfeld asserted. He expanded the point to touch on “free stuff,” noting, “You see the same thing with immigration policy—who’s paying for all that free stuff? You are.”

“Nothing is free,” Gutfeld emphasized, arguing that Harris’ policies show a lack of economic understanding and will ultimately “sink” the country. “Nothing is free. And the sooner people realize that, the better off they’ll be. And that’s aimed at Democrats who don’t seem to grasp that these policies will sink this country.”

In a follow-up comment, he explained, “If you cap prices, you create scarcity by reducing competition.” He added, “People might call her a communist, but you need to explain why—because the media won’t. How exactly is this going to work? Give me an example. There isn’t an example of businesses getting together and deciding to artificially hike prices. The most they’ll point to is a Bodega raising umbrella prices during a rainstorm.”

Gutfeld concluded by pointing out that “There’s no incentive for industries to artificially inflate prices because consumers are the ones who ultimately drive prices. If you want to understand supply and demand, it’s consumers who drive prices. There’s no debate on that. Not a single economist would agree this is the right approach.”
