Biden Awards Presidential Medal of Freedom to Woman Responsible for the Deaths of Millions of Babies
President Biden is certainly not helping his legacy as he approaches the final months of his presidency.
What could possibly top a term marred by “record numbers for illegal immigration,” “record high inflation,” and “embarrassing foreign policy blunders”? Praising what can only be described as “the pure evil that is the abortion industry.”
On Wednesday, Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Cecile Richards, the former president of Planned Parenthood, who held the position from 2006 to 2018.
Yes, Biden conferred the nation’s highest civilian honor upon a woman who presided over the deaths of millions of unborn children.
To commemorate the occasion, the president shared a photo with Richards on the social media platform X, celebrating what he framed as a momentous event.
In his post, Biden lauded Richards for her work to “defend and advance women’s reproductive rights and equality.” He went on to claim that she “fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are — a nation of freedom.”
But freedom for whom? Clearly, the children whose lives were cut short under Richards’ leadership weren’t part of Biden’s vision.
Statistics from Richards’ early tenure as president, spanning from 2006 to 2011, reveal that Planned Parenthood carried out nearly 2 million abortions. That number undoubtedly rose during the remainder of her time in charge, from 2011 to 2018.
According to data collected by the Alliance Defending Freedom, Planned Parenthood was responsible for approximately 6 million abortions between 1973 and 2011. Across the United States as a whole, the total number of abortions exceeded 52 million during that same period.
This is nothing short of genocide. Richards, Planned Parenthood, and the abortion industry as a whole have perpetrated an atrocity on an unimaginable scale, one that continues to this day.
Richards also played a critical role in making abortion a central issue for the Democratic Party. The Hill reported that during her presidency, she worked tirelessly to make abortion a cornerstone of the party’s platform.
By honoring this woman at the White House, Biden has openly aligned himself with what many see as an unapologetic embrace of evil. He even claimed, “[S]he has carved an inspiring legacy.”
But what kind of legacy celebrates the destruction of millions of innocent lives?
Only evil would condone such acts, let alone glorify them in the name of “rights, equality, and freedom.”
Abortion does not promote any of those ideals. It is murder.
As Biden’s presidency nears its conclusion in January, he seems intent on cementing his reputation as “the worst president that has ever plagued this country.” And this decision serves as yet another glaring piece of evidence.
