Biden Made Mysterious Move Before Trump Assassination Attempt - SET UP!
Former President Donald Trump was injured on Saturday during an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident, which resulted in the tragic death of a bystander and serious injuries to two others, has raised questions about the adequacy of the security measures in place for Trump and the decisions made for his safety.
The former president and front-runner for the 2024 election, who was clearly wounded by the gunshot, recounted the terrifying moment when he felt the bullet pierce his skin after hearing a high-speed sound. Although the Secret Service successfully neutralized the attacker, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, the events leading up to the attack have sparked significant concerns.
The assailant, armed with a semiautomatic rifle, fired from an elevated position outside the Secret Service’s designated protective boundary. The origin of the weapon is currently under investigation, including whether it was acquired by the shooter's father, as reported by NBC News.
The chaos and fear of the attack were compounded by the bravery of Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old former firefighter, who sacrificed his life to protect his family from the bullets.
Following the shooting, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) expressed his concerns and support, offering his prayers to Trump and the others affected. Comer stressed the importance of understanding the factors that led to this security breach, stating that “all forms of political violence are against American values and unacceptable.” Comer also called for Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to testify at a hearing, emphasizing the gravity of the oversight committee’s investigation into the security measures for Trump.
Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) claimed that he had made several requests for increased Secret Service security for Trump, but Secretary Mayorkas allegedly denied these requests. If verified, this suggests a potential failure at the highest levels of government, raising questions about the decision-making processes that left a former president vulnerable to such a grave threat.
“I have very reliable sources telling me there have been repeated requests for stronger Secret Service protection for President Trump,” Waltz wrote on X. “Denied by Secretary Mayorkas.”
Republicans have been dissatisfied with Mayorkas since he took office. The impeachment trial began in April, and the Senate eventually rejected a motion for a limited debate process. The Senate, mostly along party lines, dismissed the claim that the articles of impeachment met the constitutional standard of high crimes or misdemeanors.
“We are grateful to the Secret Service agents and other law enforcement agencies and individuals who risked their lives literally for our nation,” Joe Biden said on Sunday. “As I said last night, there is no place in America for this.”
“We don’t yet have any information about the motive of the shooter,” he continued. “We know who he is. I urge everyone, everyone please, don’t make assumptions about his motives or his affiliations. Let the FBI do their job and their partner agencies do their job.”
WATCH:
“First, Mr. Trump, as a former president and nominee of the Republican Party, already receives a heightened level of security, and I’ve been consistent in my direction to the Secret Service to provide him with every resource, capability, and protective measure necessary to ensure his continued safety. Second, I have directed the head of the Secret Service to review all security measures for the Republican National Convention, which is scheduled to start tomorrow.”
Biden concluded, “Third, I have directed an independent review of the national security at yesterday’s rally to assess exactly what happened.”
