Biden Makes Hilarious Move When He Meets Trump at White House
President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden met for their long-anticipated White House meeting on Wednesday morning.
Trump expressed his gratitude, saying, “It is a nice world today, and I appreciate very much a transition that’s so smooth. It will be as smooth as it can get, and I very much appreciate that, Joe.”
President Biden responded simply: “You’re welcome.” He added, “Well, Mr. President-elect and former President Donald, congratulations, and looking forward to having a smooth transition.”
Social media users on X found humor in Biden's appearance, noting he looked “happy” and “energetic” to be conversing with Trump.
Earlier in the week, Trump laid out his plan to “dismantle” the so-called “deep state” and reclaim American democracy from Washington’s “corruption.”
In a recorded message, Trump presented a ten-point plan aimed at overhauling federal government operations, with a focus on reforming longstanding bureaucratic practices, especially in national security and intelligence sectors. His agenda emphasizes transparency and accountability through executive orders, new reforms, and structural shifts in federal agencies.
Trump indicated that his first step would be to reissue a 2020 Executive Order, designed to enable the president to dismiss what he calls “rogue bureaucrats.” He stated, “Here is my plan to destroy the deep state and take back our democracy from corrupt Washington once and for all—and corrupt it is.” He pledged to reissue the order immediately, using its authority to dismiss uncooperative officials.
His second action point involves a thorough evaluation of intelligence and national security agencies, which he argues have been wielded against political rivals. “We will get rid of all the corrupt people in our national security and intelligence apparatus,” he declared.
Trump also promised to restructure these agencies to prevent what he sees as targeting of conservatives, Christians, and other perceived political opponents, which he believes is crucial for impartial governance.
His third initiative centers on reforming the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) courts, which authorize intelligence agencies to monitor individuals. He criticized the FISA courts, saying, “We will totally reform FISA courts, which are so corrupt that the judges seem to not care when they are lied to in warrant applications.” Trump expressed frustration with the judges for allegedly disregarding misleading cases, and he promised to change this pattern.
In another part of his plan, Trump proposed creating a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to uncover any concealed misconduct by federal agencies. According to Trump, this commission would work to declassify documents detailing “deep-state buying, censorship, and corruption.” He said, “We will set up a truth and reconciliation commission to declassify and publish all documents on the buying, censorship, and corruption by the deep state.” He believes this would promote transparency and allow the public insight into government workings.
In his fifth point, Trump aims for a “major crackdown” on government leaks, targeting those who share sensitive information with the press. He accused these leakers of collaborating with “fake news” to destabilize the government, stating, “We will crack down hard on government leakers who work with fake news to spread lies and undermine our government and democracy.” He hinted that these individuals might face criminal charges.
To enhance oversight, Trump’s sixth proposal is to relocate each inspector general’s office to a different site than the departments they oversee. He argued this physical separation would prevent these offices from becoming, as he called them, “the deep state’s guardians.” He said, “We will separate every inspector general’s office physically from the departments they are in charge of so they don’t become the deep state’s guardians.”
Trump also suggested Congress establish an independent auditing system to continuously monitor intelligence agencies, ensuring they do not infringe on Americans’ privacy or influence elections unlawfully. “I will ask Congress to set up an independent auditing system to keep an eye on our intelligence agencies,” he stated, stressing the need to safeguard citizens' privacy and prevent unauthorized surveillance.
Trump’s eighth idea is to decentralize government by moving numerous federal positions outside Washington, D.C. He cited the relocation of the Bureau of Land Management to Colorado as an example, estimating that around 100,000 federal jobs could be shifted to areas with “America-loving Americans.”
His ninth proposal seeks to halt the “revolving door” between public and private sectors. He argued that it is improper for federal officials to work for companies they previously regulated, and he advocated for a legal solution to prevent conflicts of interest, particularly highlighting the pharmaceutical industry. “We will work to stop federal bureaucrats from taking jobs at the companies they deal with and that they regulate,” he explained.
Finally, Trump intends to advocate for a constitutional amendment imposing term limits on Congress members. He believes term limits would curb entrenched power and bring fresh ideas into government, reducing the influence of special interest groups. “This is how I will break up the deep state and bring back a government that works for and with the people,” he concluded.
