Biden Ranked As Worst President In Generations: Survey

President Joe Biden is on track to set an unenviable record as his presidency nears its conclusion. According to a report from The Daily Mail, Biden is likely to leave office ranked by voters as the worst modern president.

“Some 44 percent placed [Biden] as one of the worst two, while only 14 percent placed him in the top two, giving him a net score of 30 points underwater,” the report stated. This result places him below Richard Nixon, who scored -25, and Donald Trump, who was at -15. In contrast, Ronald Reagan was ranked first with a +30 score, followed by Barack Obama at +21 and Bill Clinton at +17. George W. Bush had a modest +1, Jimmy Carter was neutral at zero, and George H.W. Bush scored -1.

James Johnson, cofounder of J.L. Partners, which conducted the poll, described the result for Biden as “diabolical.”

“There’s always a recency bias, and as Joe Biden is the incumbent, he starts off at a disadvantage there,” Johnson explained. “Voters have obviously looked at his age, general conduct in office, his botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, the situation at the southern border, and decided that, in their view, it qualifies him to be the worst president in modern history.”

He added that Biden had shifted in public perception from “the man who beat Trump to the man who let him back in, and who voters feel has been fundamentally a bad president.”

Compounding Biden’s challenges is public sentiment surrounding his decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden. A December 2 poll of 806 registered voters found that 52 percent believed the pardon was “wrong,” while only 29 percent supported it.

Despite these criticisms, the White House has painted a different picture of the administration’s legacy. A statement issued this week claimed that the Biden-Harris administration will be remembered as “one of the most successful in history,” highlighting economic recovery and legislative achievements.

“Under President Biden and Vice President Harris’ leadership, 16 million jobs have been created, and we’ve gotten women and people of color back in the labor force at record rates,” the statement read. It also emphasized infrastructure investments, historic climate action, and reduced prescription drug costs as key accomplishments.

However, economic indicators tell a more mixed story. The latest jobs report from the Labor Department showed only 12,000 jobs created in October, well below projections of up to 120,000. This marked the lowest monthly job growth in four years. Additionally, while inflation has cooled, the consumer price index rose 2.6% year-over-year in October, reflecting ongoing economic pressures.

Karoline Leavitt, national press secretary for the Trump campaign, criticized the administration’s economic performance. “This jobs report is a catastrophe and definitively reveals how badly Kamala Harris broke our economy,” she said just days before the election.

Election results appeared to underscore voter dissatisfaction. Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris with 312 electoral votes to her 226, securing more than 2 million additional popular votes. The outcome was seen as a decisive referendum on the Biden-Harris administration's policies and leadership.
