Bidens Blasted Over One Detail About White House Christmas Tree

Joe and Jill Biden, along with the Biden-Harris administration, faced fresh criticism over the official White House Christmas tree after its unveiling.

On Tuesday, First Lady Jill Biden officially received the tree at the White House alongside her grandson, Beau, son of Hunter Biden. She described the tree as a Fraser fir sourced from the Cartner family farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

During the ceremony, Jill Biden noted the recent devastation in the Blue Ridge Mountains caused by Hurricane Helene, which destroyed thousands of trees on the farm. She highlighted the tree’s resilience, sharing that the Cartner family had nicknamed it “Treemendous” to symbolize “extraordinary hope.”

Social media users, however, were quick to criticize the symbolic gesture. Some suggested that cutting down the last standing tree was reflective of the administration’s broader policies.

One user on X commented, “And they cut it down.” Another wrote, “Nothing symbolizes the Biden admin better than cutting down a tree that survived a disaster. Why are people living in tents?” A third user added, “Quite symbolic of this administration… ‘If you remain standing after a tragedy… we will make sure you don’t.’”

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden drew attention during a Thanksgiving event on Monday. While serving food at a Coast Guard facility on Staten Island, the 82-year-old president playfully grabbed a Hawaiian roll from the buffet line as Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun played in the background. Sharing a conspiratorial glance with fellow servers, Biden snuck bites of the roll before helping serve vegetables to service members and their families.

After roughly 50 minutes of serving, Biden unexpectedly addressed the gathering, beginning with, “Hello, hello, hello!” in his signature style. He quipped, “I’ve just been told I’ve been fired,” referencing his ongoing role as a lame-duck president after fellow Democrats urged him to step aside from the 2024 race in July due to concerns over his mental sharpness following a challenging debate performance against Donald Trump.

Despite the remark, Biden appeared to hint at future political aspirations, joking about the challenges of presidential travel. “They set a time for how long we’re going to be somewhere,” he said. “Then they close all the roads, the Secret Service does. And if you want to lose all support for your Coast Guard and no one will ever vote for me again, I better get the hell out of here.”

Earlier that day, Biden had participated in a lighter Thanksgiving tradition, pardoning two turkeys during a ceremony on the White House lawn.
