Border Czar Homan Vows To ‘Deal With’ Leak Of Major ICE Operation

Border Czar Tom Homan is outraged after reports emerged that details of a planned Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Aurora, Colorado, were allegedly leaked.

During an interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner on Thursday, Homan shared further insights into the suspected leak, making it clear that he was displeased and promising to take action.

“We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” Homan stated.

He emphasized that ICE is collaborating closely with the Department of Justice and suggested that Homeland Security may begin prosecuting individuals who obstruct the agency's activities. “This is not a game. This is a dangerous job,” he stressed. “To have this type of interference puts the officers at great risk.”

The leak follows an apparent pattern of interference by some Democrats in ICE operations.

Among those under scrutiny is Democrat New York Representative Dan Goldman, who has been criticized for advising individuals on how to avoid ICE enforcement actions.

“Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement,” Goldman posted on X. “No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together.”

“No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together,” he reiterated in the caption of a video he shared.

In the video, he claimed, “The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country, including here in New York City.” He acknowledged the uncertainty of the times but underscored the importance of understanding one’s rights when dealing with law enforcement.

Goldman proceeded to offer guidance on “mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters” and provided resources for free legal assistance for those who are detained.

Goldman spokesperson Madison Andrus asserted in an interview with the Daily Caller, “President Trump has a well-documented pattern of abusing his power by detaining American citizens and legal residents.” Andrus continued, “The Congressman will always provide his constituents with information to protect them from extrajudicial threats and intimidation, and only someone who supports the use of threats and intimidation would take issue with him doing so.”

A spokesperson for ICE clarified that American citizens are not subject to arrest but may be temporarily detained to verify their identity.

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may encounter U.S. citizens while conducting fieldwork and may request identification to establish an individual’s identity,” the agency informed The Caller.

In December, Homan told the outlet, “There are federal statutes on the books for knowingly concealing and harboring an illegal alien away from ICE officers. There are statutes on the books about impeding federal law enforcement officers – they’re all felonies.”

Republicans have expressed outrage over Democrats advising illegal immigrants on how to avoid ICE enforcement.

“It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals — even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!” Republican North Carolina Representative Mark Harris told The Caller.

“This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people,” he added.

Meanwhile, ICE is projected to apprehend approximately one million illegal immigrants by the end of the Trump administration. While this is a significant number, it falls short of President Donald Trump’s stated goal, according to a report released this week.

This development coincides with Republican lawmakers in both chambers of Congress pushing for provisions on border security, deportation, and increased funding in an upcoming spending bill, which could lead to a rise in ICE arrests, according to Just the News.

Despite the Trump administration’s continued emphasis on mass deportations, ICE has halted the publication of daily arrest and detainer figures. Nevertheless, Homan has insisted that enforcement efforts remain on track, undeterred by leaks and public resistance, the outlet reported.
