BREAKING: Authorities Make Fightening Discovery Un Trump Attack
Authorities have discovered explosive materials both in the vehicle and at the residence of the deceased man suspected of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump.
According to CNN, citing “multiple law enforcement sources,” the “FBI has publicly identified the gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Authorities say he fired multiple shots from a building rooftop just outside the rally venue before he was killed by Secret Service agents.”
A CNN headline sparked outrage among Trump supporters following what was reported to be an assassination attempt on his life.
During a rally in Butler, Pa., on Saturday afternoon, a bullet grazed Trump’s right ear, causing him to fall. Secret Service agents immediately shielded him. The FBI is classifying the incident as an assassination attempt but has not determined a motive.
A subsequent CNN headline read: “Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally.”
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) criticized the headline on the X platform: “Even in a horrifying moment such as this they just can’t help themselves.”
Another X user commented: “The media is evil,” while another added: “Sick bastards.”
Additional comments included: “Scum of the earth. All of them.”
Former first lady Melania Trump released a statement after the incident.
“I am thinking of you, now, my fellow Americans. We have always been a unique union. America, the fabric of our gentle nation is tattered, but our courage and common sense must ascend and bring us back together as one,” she said. “When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron’s life, were on the brink of devastating change.
“I am grateful to the brave Secret Service agents and law enforcement officials who risked their own lives to protect my husband,” she added.
“A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion – his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration,” she wrote. “The core facets of my husband’s life – his human side – were buried below the political machine. Donald, the generous and caring man who I have been with through the best of times and the worst of times.”
She urged everyone to lower their tone and end the hateful rhetoric.
“This morning, ascend above the hate, the vitriol, and the simple-minded ideas that ignite violence,” she stated.
Ivanka Trump also issued a statement following the assassination attempt.
“Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today’s senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country. I love you Dad, today and always,” she said on X, formerly Twitter.
Tiffany Trump added: “The outpouring of love and support for my dad is deeply appreciated. Thank you God for keeping my father alive. Political violence is never the answer. God bless the Secret Service and law enforcement who fearlessly intervened. Please include the families of the victims in your prayers. As you saw today, my father is a fighter and he will continue to fight for you and the USA.”
