Carville: Biden ‘Has Nobody To Blame But Himself’ For Damaged Legacy

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville recently voiced strong criticism against former President Joe Biden, suggesting that he should retreat to his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and "stay there."

Speaking on the “Politics War Room” podcast, Carville—who has frequently expressed concerns that Democrats are leaning too far into “woke” ideology—placed the blame squarely on Biden for the public’s dwindling interest in hearing from him.

“What he’s done to himself is no one wants to hear from this guy anymore. Okay, just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there. And that’s not because we’re bad people or we’re mean people. It was all his doing. All his doing, this entire thing,” Carville stated, emphasizing that even within the Democratic Party, there was little enthusiasm for engaging with Biden.

Carville also pushed back against Biden’s assertion that he could have defeated Trump in November had he stayed in the race.

“No one f***ing believes that at all!” he said bluntly.

He further criticized Biden’s conflicts with figures like Jill Biden and Alexandra Pelosi. “I mean, just look, guy — you had a noble career. Your last act was terrible. Just get out of the way. The party’s moving on. I mean, they’re really moving on, and it’s very sad, but that’s just where we are. And he created this himself. He has nobody to blame but himself. Nobody.”

Carville’s remarks suggested that Biden “really has no role to play in the national dialogue” and would be better off focusing on raising funds for a presidential library rather than staying in the political spotlight. He further warned that Biden’s continued involvement in public politics could be harmful moving forward.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is taking direct action against Biden’s progressive “climate” policies by signing a series of executive orders aimed at expanding domestic fossil fuel production.

These orders include a declaration of an “energy emergency,” which is intended to shield the administration from certain legal challenges while promoting new drilling and other energy-related initiatives.

According to Just the News, the scope of these moves could represent “the most dramatic shift in U.S. energy policy since the response to the ban on oil exports from Arab members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries in 1973.”

After taking office, Biden signed multiple executive orders, including rejoining the Paris Agreement—an international accord focused on capping global temperature increases at 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Over his term, Biden’s climate agenda led to regulatory measures such as new appliance efficiency standards, restrictions on liquefied natural gas exports, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules targeting power plants.

In contrast, Trump’s “energy emergency” order prioritizes mining for critical minerals essential to national security, granting emergency approvals for resource development on public lands, and accelerating energy infrastructure projects. Another order provides directives for energy development in Alaska, while yet another reverses Biden-era restrictions on offshore drilling. Trump has also formally withdrawn the U.S. from the Paris Agreement.

Jeff Reynolds, a senior editor at Restoration News, speculated that Trump’s firm stance against Biden’s climate policies may come from hindsight. While Trump had previously understood the importance of energy independence and regulatory flexibility, Reynolds noted that he exercised more patience during his first term.

However, Trump’s perspective shifted after witnessing the extent of the left’s actions once Biden assumed office.

“Now he knows where the bodies are buried, and he’s ready to take a meat axe to everything that got in his way the first time,” Reynolds told Just the News.

Trump’s aggressive push for fossil fuel expansion signals his commitment to fulfilling his “drill, baby drill” campaign slogan.

However, energy expert David Blackmon, who shares insights through his “Energy Absurdities” Substack, cautioned in an interview with Just the News that substantial increases in U.S. energy production remain uncertain despite Trump’s executive orders.
