CNN Outrages Supporters Of Trump Moments After Attack

A headline posted by far-left news outlet CNN outraged supporters of former President Trump following what is reported to have been an attempt on his life.

Trump was nearly killed during a rally in Butler, Pa., Saturday afternoon in what the FBI is calling an assassination attempt. A bullet grazed the former president’s right ear, causing him to fall to the ground where he was immediately covered by several Secret Service agents.

A CNN headline followed shortly afterward: “Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally.”

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), seized on the grossly underwhelming and misleading headline on the X platform: “Even in a horrifying moment such a this they just can’t help themselves.”

“The media is evil,” another X user wrote. “Sick bastards,” said another.

Added another: “Scum of the earth. All of them.”

The FBI has officially determined that the shooting attack on former President Donald Trump shortly after his rally in Butler, Pa., began Saturday afternoon as an “assassination attempt,” but the bureau does not yet have a motive.

The FBI stated that the attack was an “assassination attempt,” but the motive has not yet been determined. Pennsylvania State Police said at the press conference that one shooter has been “tentatively identified,” Axios reported.

Meanwhile, the chief of communications for the U.S. Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi put out a statement Saturday evening.

“During former President Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on the evening of July 13th at approximately 6:15 p.m., a suspected shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue,” he said. “US Secret Service personnel neutralized the shooter, who is now deceased. US Secret Service quickly responded with protective measures and the former president is safe and being evaluated. One spectator was killed, two spectators were critically injured. The incident is currently under investigation, and the Secret Service has formally notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

Trump’s senior advisers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita stated that Trump still plans to attend the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, which begins on Monday.

“As was communicated earlier this evening, President Trump is doing well and grateful to law enforcement and first responders for their fast action,” they said. “President Trump looks forward to joining you all in Milwaukee as we proceed with our convention to nominate him to serve as the 47th President of the United States.”

They added: “As our party’s nominee, President Trump will continue to share his vision to Make America Great Again.”

President Joe Biden has released a statement after being attacked at a political rally in Pennsylvania.

“I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,” Biden said in a statement.

Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said that Trump was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility” after the assassination attempt.

“An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania,” the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement following the shooting. “The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”
