CNN’s Scott Jennings Sums Up Trump’s Comeback in Three Words
CNN Republican commentator Scott Jennings succinctly described Donald Trump’s political resurgence using three words: “breaker of narratives.”
Known for often diverging from his left-leaning counterparts at CNN, Jennings argued that Trump’s success stemmed from his steadfast resistance to being defined by the legacy media narrative.
“Trump is having a helluva ride—the greatest political comeback story in American history. Plus, he just destroys one wrongheaded political narrative after another,” Jennings captioned a clip of his remarks when he posted it on X.
When asked to reflect on Trump’s influence on American politics over the past year, Jennings offered a straightforward analysis:
“Well, first of all, it’s the greatest comeback story in American political history,” he began. “I mean, when you think about all the things that you just listed that he survived—from the political attacks to the lawfare to the assassination attempts to the Democrats adjusting their campaign—when you consider all the unprecedented obstacles he overcame to bounce back from losing in 2020 to winning not just the Electoral College but also the popular vote in 2024, there’s never been anything like it.”
Jennings highlighted Trump’s unique ability to shatter political assumptions, repeating the phrase that encapsulates this strength: “breaker of narratives.”
“One of Donald Trump’s superpowers is that he’s the breaker of narratives,” he said, emphasizing how polls and media outlets repeatedly predicted Trump’s downfall, whether through legal challenges or a seemingly unbeatable Democratic ticket led by Vice President Kamala Harris.
Jennings added, “Trump is the breaker of narratives,” explaining how Trump revealed what he called the flaws of the “political information-distribution complex,” accusing it of prioritizing narratives over facts.

Harris’ Future in Politics Draws Skepticism
As President Joe Biden approaches the twilight of his political career, Vice President Kamala Harris may also face diminishing prospects on the national stage.
According to reports, Harris has shared with associates her intention to remain politically active and is even considering a 2028 presidential bid. This prompted Democratic strategist Theryn Bond to offer a blunt plea: “Please don’t.”
In a recent interview on Newsmax’s National Report, Bond expressed doubts about Harris’ future presidential aspirations.
When host Emma Rechenberg asked, “Is this a good idea for VP Harris to continue her political ambitions?” Bond replied, “Not to run for president again in 2028, please don’t.”
Bond suggested Harris might find better opportunities in California, where she still enjoys significant support. However, she cautioned against relying on the same advisers who shaped her current strategy, stating, “That’s not who I would listen to.”
Republican strategist Luke Ball agreed, suggesting a gubernatorial run in California might be Harris’ best option.
“She might have an edge in California because of her high name recognition,” Ball said. “But if she ran anywhere else in the country, I don’t think she’d even be elected dog catcher, unfortunately.”
