Concerning Video: Harris Goes Viral for Appearing 'Sloshed,' 'Hammered,' 'Drunk' After Broadway Event

Kamala’s never escaping the speculation, I’m afraid.

(No, not those rumors.)

Former presidential hopeful and ex-Vice President Kamala Harris has largely stayed out of the spotlight since her overwhelming defeat to President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Aside from ongoing reports about troubles in her marriage, Harris has mostly avoided public appearances following her crushing loss last November.

And this might explain why: In one of her first widely shared moments since the election, Harris is once again dealing with questions about her sobriety—or lack thereof.

To be clear, there is no documented history of Harris having drinking problems, despite the persistent speculation. As mentioned from the outset, these remain mere allegations.

However, there is at least something, however minor, fueling these allegations: an oddly placed wine glass in a photo, mannerisms that don’t align with those of a fully sober individual without neurological issues, and whatever this unusual interaction was with Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer at a bar.

These claims resurfaced after a widely circulated video of Harris speaking to Broadway performers made waves online Sunday.

According to the New York Post, Harris was addressing the cast of Broadway’s “A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical.” (She and her husband, Doug Emhoff, reportedly spent the weekend enjoying several Broadway shows.)

“Kamala Harris was absolutely hammered in NYC,” a widely followed X account posted.

“She is perpetually drunk,” one X user commented under the video. “I do appreciate the occasional reminders of the bullet we dodged when we sent her packing.”

“Kamala is sloshed,” another X account wrote, sharing the same footage.

Additionally, some internet sleuths pointed out Harris’ repeated nose-scratching, which—along with a noticeably slimmer appearance—is often linked to cocaine use.

Again, these are just accusations and nothing more. There is no solid proof that Harris has a drinking problem.

But while perception and reality aren’t always the same, perception undoubtedly influences reality—and that spells trouble for someone who still seems to be keeping an eye on 2028.

Harris already struggles with a tarnished public image due to her infamous "word salads." She played a role in overseeing a particularly tumultuous period in American history. Her first serious attempt at a presidential run ended without her earning a single primary vote.

The last thing she needs is the added reputation of being a habitual drinker.
