Dan Bongino Raises Concerns Over Donald Trump's Safety

Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and well-known political commentator, has issued a critical warning regarding recent threats against former President Donald Trump. Bongino, alarmed by the situation, took to social media to express his concerns after two assassination attempts on Trump since July 13.

Bongino shared a detailed message on his Facebook page, posing serious questions about the U.S. Secret Service's performance. Below is his full post:

"An eye-opening experience I had as a young Secret Service agent was being the 'press agent.' Newer agents on the president’s detail are given the task of babysitting the press since that’s where you’ll do the least harm if you mess something up. I’d spend hours with them on trips, and we’d fly back home on the ‘press plane’ together."

"Some of the things I learned from my time with them:"

  1. "Most of them are genuine imbeciles. Their discussions ranged from absurd to ignorant, and sometimes downright ridiculous."
  2. "They love to judge others, but in the pre-cell phone camera days, they were involved in some of the most outrageous behavior you’d ever witness on those planes. Truly a disgraceful bunch."
  3. "Most of them have real disdain for hard-working Americans. They see themselves as part of an elite aristocracy and look down on the very people they are supposed to report on. I saw it firsthand. And these losers should be treated with the respect they deserve—none at all."

Bongino has been raising concerns about the Secret Service for months, and recently hinted at the possibility of internal sabotage.

Earlier this month, Bongino speculated about a potential “mole” within either the Secret Service or the Department of Homeland Security.

"I have to ask you a really disturbing question now—something I would’ve called myself crazy for even thinking about 10 years ago," Bongino began, pausing before continuing, "Is there a mole inside the DHS or Secret Service?"

He referred to documented instances of foreign nationals and hostile governments attempting to infiltrate and compromise federal agencies. Bongino pointed to a recent case where two individuals were convicted of impersonating federal agents in a sophisticated plot that fooled the Secret Service.

"What happened yesterday, in Secret Service lingo, the movement to the golf course—Trump going to play golf—is called an OTR, or off-the-record movement. It’s not on the official schedule, and very few people know about it," Bongino explained.

"What really caught my attention was that the decision to golf was made at the last minute. This means, when the decision was finalized, fewer than ten people were aware of it. So, how did this individual know exactly where to set up?"

"How did he know where and when Trump would be there?" Bongino asked, adding, "The mole might not be a foreign national himself. I don’t want you to think of spy-movie scenarios. Don’t overcomplicate what could be simpler than that."

Bongino also raised the possibility of a "honeypot trap" within the Secret Service, questioning if an agent or DHS employee could be unknowingly involved in a relationship with someone posing as someone they’re not. He cited examples of similar traps set by foreign operatives in other nations, particularly Israel, where Iranians have been involved in such schemes.

"The Iranians, who have vowed to kill President Trump—how do we know there isn’t some kind of honeypot trap involving an agent or DHS personnel? Could someone who needs to be notified of Trump’s movements be in a relationship with someone who isn’t who they claim to be?" Bongino speculated.

Throughout his commentary, Bongino referenced several cases of foreign interference involving federal agents, including one incident he had personal knowledge of.
