Dem Congresswoman Accused of Violating Federal Law with Unhinged 'We Are at War' Rant

For years, elected Democrats and their entrenched bureaucratic allies have taken advantage of, intimidated, and targeted ordinary Americans without facing repercussions.

Now, however, repercussions have arrived in the form of President Donald Trump and his key supporters, a group that prominently includes Elon Musk, the owner of the social media platform X.

In a video shared on X Tuesday night, Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey addressed a gathering of fervent, Musk-opposing elected Democrats and activists, declaring that they should "shut down" Washington, D.C., and recognize that they are "at war" with the Trump administration. This declaration quickly led to X users questioning whether McIver had violated federal law.

"We will not take this! We will fight back!" McIver shouted passionately into the microphone.

By "this," the congresswoman was referring to Musk’s continuing initiative to pinpoint and eradicate excessive government expenditures.

Over the weekend, Musk and a select group of skilled employees at the Department of Government Efficiency gained access to the U.S. Treasury payments system. This resulted in a series of extraordinary social media revelations in which Musk exposed the dubious operations of the United States Agency for International Development, an entity closely linked to the CIA that operates under the guise of a foreign-aid organization while covertly serving intelligence community interests abroad.

The Trump administration’s subsequent crackdown on USAID has pushed Democrats into an unprecedented state of outrage. They are fully aware that the exposure of USAID jeopardizes the political establishment’s long-standing financial schemes.

"And as I close out [be]cause I know we’ve been out here for a long time," McIver added, "and g** d*** it, shut down the city! We are at war! Anytime — anytime a person can pay $250 million into a campaign and then be given access — full access — to the Department of Treasury of the United States of America, we are at war!"

WARNING: The following video contains language that some readers may find offensive.

Unsurprisingly, McIver’s rhetoric was reckless—if not worse. At least one of her congressional colleagues saw it that way.

"This sounds like a call for insurrection to me," Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia responded.

At the same time, others argued that McIver may have committed a felony.

Did McIver break federal law? That is a determination for Attorney General Pam Bondi to consider.

For now, one thing is clear: the Democratic congresswoman embodied the absolute worst traits of her party.

Even if we assume, for the sake of discussion, that McIver’s "war" language was purely metaphorical, it does not negate the reality that Democrats have become far too accustomed to spewing exaggerated and aggressive rhetoric.

Nor does it change the fact that Democrats appear to relish assembling in the streets, issuing threats, and inciting chaos.

Furthermore, given their treatment of Trump and his supporters, it is evident how Democrats would behave under reversed circumstances. They would offer no leniency.

With that in mind, one can only hope that Trump and Musk will persist in exerting pressure where it truly matters. It is time for real consequences.

After all, Democrats’ frantic response to the exposure of USAID illustrates not only their desperation but also their powerlessness. All they have left is "war" rhetoric to fuel their fanatical base.
