DHS Boss Noem Says ICE Operation ‘Leakers’ Have Been Found

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has revealed that her department has identified individuals who were behind the release of sensitive details about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations — and she made it clear that disciplinary action is imminent.

“I have found some leakers,” Noem stated during a recent interview with The Epoch Times. “We are continuing to get more. They will be fired and there will be consequences.”

According to Noem, her agency utilized “every tactic” available to uncover the culprits. This included conducting polygraph exams, as well as combing through internal emails and communications.

Her remarks followed the release of an article from The Los Angeles Times earlier this month, which exposed plans for a major ICE enforcement action — information that had been leaked.

Reacting to the incident, Noem took to X, declaring: “The FBI is so corrupt.” She added, “We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law.”

The FBI Agents Association, however, swiftly pushed back against Noem’s accusations, according to the report.

In a post on X, the association stated: “FBI Special Agents serve our country every day with integrity, upholding the Constitution to protect the American people from national security and criminal threats.”

The organization also said: “The FBIAA fully endorses the following statement released by the Bureau’s press office on February 14,” before sharing the official statement.

“The facts show the FBI has been standing shoulder to shoulder with our DHS partners across the country to lawfully support their immigration enforcement efforts,” the statement read. “We have thousands of FBI personnel supporting these operations, including special agents embedded on DHS enforcement teams, intelligence analysts, linguists, and professional staff, all of whom are dedicated professionals deserving of respect.”

It continued: “The FBI contribution to DHS’s immigration enforcement operations is nothing less than our full partnership, which has resulted in well over a thousand arrests and lawful detentions. Nearly two hundred of these involved felony arrest warrants, including some subjects of FBI investigations with gang affiliations or a nexus to terrorism. We will continue to lean forward with our partners to prioritize the safety of the communities we all serve together.”

“Making unfounded allegations calling FBI agents corrupt is deeply irresponsible and has not been supported by any evidence to date,” the statement emphasized. “As always, if violations of policy or the law are properly reported, the FBI will treat this with the utmost seriousness and take appropriate action. Unless evidence of violations is presented, such comments undermine the men and women of the FBI. The FBI invites DHS to partner in determining the source of any leaked information and working together professionally to ensure the safety and security of ongoing immigration enforcement operations.”

Meanwhile, Border Czar Tom Homan alleged that the FBI was responsible for leaking details about upcoming enforcement actions targeting illegal immigrants — and he vowed that those involved would face serious consequences.

“We think it’s coming from inside,” Homan told Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday, referring to leaks to the press about ICE raids in Colorado.

Homan further asserted that the FBI was implicated in exposing plans for a significant operation expected to take place in California before the month’s end. He claimed: “Some of the information we are receiving tends towards the FBI.”

The planned operation is reportedly so extensive that ICE is expected to receive backup from both FBI and DEA agents.

Homan also warned that the leaks pose real dangers to officers on the ground, stating that such breaches could give “bad guys” advance notice to ambush law enforcement teams.

When Hannity pressed Homan on how confident he was about FBI involvement, Homan responded: “I talked to the deputy attorney general this week, and they’ve opened up a criminal investigation. He thinks the information is coming from [the FBI].”

Homan added that an active criminal probe is underway to track down those responsible for the leaks.

“We’ll let that investigation play out,” he said, adding, “But some of the leads point that way.”
