Dr. Phil Announces Big Plans with Trump, Discusses Potential 'Revenge' if Elected

Talk show host Phil McGraw is set to interview former President Donald Trump this week, urging the presumptive GOP presidential nominee to forgive those who have used the legal system against him if he wins the November election. This plea was announced by the TV mainstay on Monday.

Dr. Phil mentioned to TMZ that if Trump wins a second term and focuses on “retribution” instead of steering America towards prosperity, it could harm the nation.

In a conversation with Harvey Levin on “TMZ Live,” he revealed that he would interview Trump at his Mar-a-Lago property in Florida for a special Thursday evening show titled “Trump Verdict: A Judicial Travesty.”

McGraw has been outspoken about the prosecution of Trump in New York. Recently, a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records.

The TV host told Levin he plans to discuss this matter with Trump during their interview, urging him to prioritize improving America over retaliating against those who have attempted to imprison him by using the courts.

“Assuming Trump does win and returns to [the White House], the last thing we need is retribution and revenge,” he said. “What we need now is for this craziness to stop.”

“We’re facing serious issues and we need serious individuals to solve them,” he said. “Engaging in tit-for-tat is not the solution.”

Levin expressed his hope that the TV host would “push that issue” during the conversation with Trump.

“I’m going to push that very hard because that’s the last thing we need,” Dr. Phil said. “That could mark the end of this country as we know it.”

“It’s over,” he added regarding the use of the legal system against Trump if he is elected. “It’s time for forgiveness and moving forward.”

McGraw stressed that if Trump secures another term, he must decide between calling a truce for the nation’s benefit or using the justice system as a weapon.

“We don’t need to weaponize the justice system,” he said. “We need to move past this and focus on making America the exemplary nation everyone aspires [it] to be.”

“Trump Verdict: A Judicial Travesty” will stream on the free platform Merit Street Media.

On “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” on Monday, McGraw stated that he viewed Trump’s prosecution and conviction in New York as targeted.

“He’s the only person that’s ever been charged in this manner,” the host said, noting that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had to manipulate the law to present the case to a jury.

Dr. Phil also described Judge Juan Merchan, who presided over Trump’s New York trial, as politically biased.

Regarding McGraw’s intention to urge Trump to avoid revenge if elected in five months, Trump addressed this during a Sunday interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

“It sounds beautiful, right: You know, my revenge will be success. And I mean that,” Trump said.

“But it’s incredibly difficult when you see what they’ve done,” he said. “These people are so evil. And at the same time, the country can unite.”
