Elon Unveils DOGE's Latest Target - Could Nancy Pelosi Be Plotting an Escape?

How exactly did they amass such immense wealth?

To clarify, we’re not referring to self-made billionaires like Elon Musk or Mark Cuban—whether you admire them or not, their financial success can be traced back to calculated business moves, technological expertise, and a mix of hard work and good timing.

No, this question is directed at our elected officials in Congress.

And by “we,” the person asking is none other than Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency.

During a town hall event in Wisconsin—where Musk was urging voters to support the Republican candidate in the state's crucial Supreme Court race—he revealed one of the department’s latest focuses when an audience member posed an interesting question.

“My question is about [the United States Agency for International Development],” the attendee began. “Has the DOGE team found any evidence that any of the radical-left Democrats like Maxine Waters, Adam Schiff, [or] Chuck Schumer have received money directly from USAID? And if so, will we be hearing about that evidence anytime soon?”

While some might have sidestepped the inquiry, Musk opted for a more direct response.

“Yeah, so,” Musk said after briefly gathering his thoughts. “There is a massive amount of corruption, but it is circuitous. So what happens is there’s money that—obviously it’s your taxpayer money—that is then sent to various government organizations who then send it to NGO’s, which an NGO is a non-governmental organization, but obviously it’s a government-funded non-governmental organization.

“It’s just an organization. It’s just a government, and effectively there’s a giant fraud loophole which is that the government can send money to an NGO that is then no longer governed by the laws of the United States.

“So they’ll send the money overseas to one NGO, then they’ll go through a bunch of them, and then, I’m highly confident that a bunch of that money then comes back to the United States and lands in the pockets of the people you just mentioned.

“But it is a circuitous route. It doesn’t go directly [to them].

“But let’s just say that there’s a lot of strangely wealthy members of Congress.”

Indeed, “strangely wealthy” is an understatement. And as highlighted by the New York Post, few lawmakers embody this descriptor as much as California Representative Nancy Pelosi.

“Two of the wealthiest [members of Congress] include former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who has a net worth of about $250 million, and Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), whose personal fortune hovers around $552 million,” the outlet reported.

Such staggering figures stand in stark contrast to the $174,000 annual salary typical for members of Congress.

However, it’s relevant to point out that Scott’s fortune is primarily linked to his past work in the healthcare industry—well before his time in the Senate, as noted by the Post.

Pelosi, on the other hand? Her vast wealth largely originates from the stock market, where she and her husband, Paul Pelosi, have been highly active traders.

And yes, it does strike this writer as rather interesting that insider trading is, in fact, illegal.

If DOGE begins unraveling this particular thread, could it be enough to prompt Pelosi to make a hasty retreat, much like Rosie O’Donnell once did to Ireland? Probably not, because surely the former Speaker of the House would never engage in such questionable activities…

Right?
