FBI Delivers Names of Agents Involved In Jan. 6 Investigations To DOJ

In what stands as another major triumph for President Donald Trump’s administration, the FBI has ultimately complied and provided the Department of Justice with the names of all agents involved in the January 6 investigations.
The FBI transferred these names through a classified system to prevent public disclosure, according to acting Director Brian Driscoll in an email obtained by FBI whistleblower Garret O’Boyle.
“I want to be clear that as of now, we do not have information indicating the Department of Justice intends to disseminate these lists publicly, and they are fully aware of the risks we believe are inherent in doing so,” Driscoll stated in the email, as reported by CNN.
“We will let you know immediately if we learn the Department’s intentions regarding these lists changes,” the acting director added.
CNN further noted, “The Justice Department’s Thursday demand comes after the bureau earlier this week withheld the names of thousands of employees and instead relayed information based only on employee ID numbers, according to an email obtained by CNN.”
“Over the past several days, FBI and Justice Department leadership have gone back-and-forth over how to protect the information gathered as part of a review of January 6-related investigations, including the one into President Donald Trump. On Tuesday, the FBI handed over information on more than 5,000 employees, including employee ID numbers, job titles and their role in the January 6 investigations – but not their names,” the outlet’s report elaborated.
However, O’Boyle expressed that the FBI’s compliance came too late when he spoke with The Daily Caller.
“The FBI should’ve handed over the names when they were first asked,” the whistleblower asserted. “They knew the request of information was legal, yet they failed to comply. When they did finally comply, they only provided employee identification numbers, and not the names that DOJ requested.”
“Now, the FBI ‘leadership’ has finally complied with what originally was a simple, legal request by their governing department,” he added.
FBI agents who acted ethically during the January 6 investigation will not face disciplinary action or termination, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove confirmed in a memo on Wednesday.
“Let me be clear: No FBI employee who simply followed orders and carried out their duties in an ethical manner with respect to January 6 investigations is at risk of termination or other penalties,” the acting director emphasized in the email.
As the FBI undergoes changes, some Republicans argue that elected Democrats, rather than the agents, should be the ones worried.
Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn stated in an interview with Fox News that Democrats such as Sen. Adam Schiff of California and others “fear” Trump nominee Kash Patel for the FBI leadership role due to his knowledge of their involvement in pushing the “Russian collusion” narrative during Trump’s first term.
“I think, too, they are very fearful of Kash Patel because Kash Patel knows what Adam Schiff and some of the others did with Russia collusion, and they know that he — knows the dirt on them, if you will, and I think they’re fearful of what he’s going to do and what he’s going to reveal and what he’s going to make known to the American people,” Blackburn stated to guest host Charlie Hurt on “Fox & Friends” Sunday.
“And they recognize that one thing Kash Patel is very devoted to is bringing transparency to what’s going on in Washington,” Hurt responded, receiving agreement from Blackburn.
“[RFK Jr.] is going to help us find these 300,000 children,” Blackburn added, referencing illegal migrant children who reportedly vanished under the Biden-Harris administration.
“I’ve been trying to find these kids since it was 75,000, and the Biden Administration has never responded to where these children are. RFK is going to get in there. He’s going to rework CMS with Dr. [Mehmet] Oz. He is going to work with [Dr.] Marty Makary to straighten out the FDA. He’s going to work with Dr. [Jay] Bhattacharyaat NIH,” Blackburn continued.
