FBI Whistleblower Warns American People: 'Arm Yourself'

A whistleblower from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a stark warning to the American public about the agency's actions and the broader implications for the country's future.

Former FBI Staff Operations Specialist Marcus Allen made his statement on Wednesday during a hearing of the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

According to the House Judiciary Committee, the purpose of the hearing was to "examine how the FBI has used its security clearance adjudication process to purge its ranks of conservatives and whistleblowers, and unlawfully punish those with views contrary to FBI leadership."

Alongside Allen, several others testified, including Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Empower Oversight president Tristan Leavitt, and former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner.

This wasn't Allen's first appearance before the committee. Back in May 2023, he had already testified about partisan corruption within the FBI. In response, Rep. Jerrold Nadler falsely accused Allen and another whistleblower of being financially compensated by associates of former President Donald Trump. In reality, the whistleblowers had received charitable donations after being suspended by the FBI without pay—donations that were not linked to securing their testimony.

During his latest testimony, Allen did not waver from his earlier statements. Instead, he reinforced his concerns about the FBI's growing misconduct.

"In late 2021, I raised concerns about the FBI Director’s testimony about the January 6th Capitol riot, not out of political motivation, but out of a duty to truth and integrity," Allen’s prepared testimony explained. "This act, which I believed to be in the spirit of transparency and accountability, led to unexpected and severe consequences."

He continued, "Almost exactly three years ago today, I forwarded news articles to my superiors and others within the FBI about January 6th. It was literally one of my job duties to keep my colleagues informed about open-source intelligence related to their cases. As a result of simply doing my job, the FBI accused me of promoting 'conspiratorial views' and 'unreliable information.'"

Allen further revealed that the FBI questioned his loyalty to the United States, revoked his security clearance, suspended his pay, and blocked him from seeking outside employment or even accepting charitable assistance.

His suspension lasted for a grueling 27 months, during which time the bureau kept him and his family in a state of "indefinite limbo," preventing him from earning an income. Allen described the ordeal as an attempt to "destroy" him financially.

Earlier this year, his security clearance was finally reinstated, which he views as "absolute vindication." Allen also encouraged other whistleblowers to stand firm and persist, despite the FBI's harsh treatment.

In his closing remarks, Allen issued a dire warning to the American people, stating, "This is a warning to the American people: I personally have no confidence that the FBI will rein in its own conduct." He further expressed his belief that "there are no current, effective checks and balances against them conducting lawless action with any type of correction in a legitimate timeframe."

Allen also offered advice on how Americans can protect themselves and their communities in the face of increasing disorder.

"My other recommendations are in the natural order: First, vote," he urged. "The second is the Second Amendment — arm yourself and know how to defend yourself. Make three to four friends in your neighborhood and promise to come to each other’s mutual aid in times of hardship."
