Flight Attendant Chases Down Democratic Congressman to Give Him a Piece of His Mind

Democrats took a decisive step earlier this week, and some now appear to regret it.
However, there is no turning back, as they have committed themselves fully to their chosen path.
On Thursday, Democratic Representative Ro Khanna of California shared an encounter on X, formerly Twitter, where a flight attendant confronted him at the Chicago airport. The attendant criticized congressional Democrats for their behavior during President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress on Tuesday evening.
“Sir, I am a Democrat but the way the party behaved was embarrassing. Made us look heartless,” flight attendant Jim Barrett reportedly stated.
Even for those accustomed to Democrats’ political stunts, their actions that night were astonishing.
First, Democratic Representative Al Green of Texas continuously interrupted the president, refusing to stop heckling. House Speaker Mike Johnson ultimately directed the sergeant at arms to remove Green from the chamber. On Thursday, the House formally censured Green for his conduct.
But things only deteriorated from there. Democrats chose not to stand, applaud, or acknowledge several moving moments—an American prisoner freed from Russia, the grieving families of two women murdered by illegal immigrants, and a 13-year-old brain cancer survivor who aspires to work in law enforcement. In a touching gesture, Trump made the young boy an honorary member of the Secret Service.
Democrats, it seems, find little that moves them—except, perhaps, support for men in women’s sports and further military aid to Ukraine.
“I don’t care who is up there, you stand for the boy with cancer. Be more rational & get your act together,” Barrett added.

Khanna’s response in a follow-up post did little to counter the criticism.
“I replied that a few of us did stand and clap and we must be the party that still believes in kindness, decency, and trying to bring people together,” he wrote.

Still believes? When did Democrats ever exemplify those values?
For instance, on Monday night, the same party that claims to stand for “decency” voted against legislation that would have barred federally funded schools from allowing male athletes to compete in female sports.
Then, during Trump’s speech, members of the party supposedly rooted in “kindness” showed visible disdain, their expressions filled with contempt.
Nothing has changed since then, except Democrats realizing that the public found their behavior appalling. A CNN poll revealed that 80 percent of viewers considered Green’s conduct “inappropriate.”
Social media has also erupted with criticism of Democrats’ behavior, calling out their lack of decorum and empathy.
Meanwhile, a CBS poll indicated that Trump’s speech was well received, with an impressive 76 percent approval rating overall, including strong support for his handling of key issues.
Khanna and his fellow Democrats have not experienced genuine change. If they had, they wouldn’t be caught up in internal debates over “strategy” and “optics,” as reports suggest.
Ultimately, those within the Democratic Party who understand political reality recognize that Tuesday night was a major misstep. Yet, they cannot alter their course, as they remain locked into their political commitments.
This “deal” demands that elected Democrats embody the resentment and hostility that fuels their most fervent supporters. Any attempt to show civility toward Trump, his allies, or anything remotely associated with them risks alienating their base. If they deviate, they may find themselves replaced by candidates even more radical in deep-blue districts.
The result? If Trump honors a young cancer survivor, Democrats refuse to applaud simply because he is the one recognizing the child. Such is the twisted logic that stems from their deeply entrenched, ideological hostility.
