Fox Hosts Rip Colleagues, Biden Over Old, News Scandals

The team at "Fox & Friends" directed sharp criticism toward President Joe Biden, his administration, and members of the media over scandals that have been brewing for years.

Peter Doocy, filling in as a co-host, opened the segment with a strong rebuke of his press colleagues, accusing them of enabling a “cover-up” of Biden’s declining mental health for years.

Doocy’s remarks followed a recent Wall Street Journal report that drew on over 50 sources to claim Biden’s mental fitness had been questioned even before his 2020 presidential win. According to the report, close aides and staffers had worked throughout his term to conceal the full extent of the issue.

Speaking on Fox & Friends Weekend, Doocy highlighted the lack of attention the report received during White House press briefings, despite its significant findings.

The Mediaite-cited report detailed testimonies from Democratic lawmakers, aides, and donors who voiced ongoing concerns about Biden’s cognitive health. It noted: “There were limits over who Biden spoke with, limits on what they said to him, and limits around the sources of information he consumed.”

Some of the most startling claims included the frequent cancellation of meetings on Biden’s “off days” and efforts to minimize direct interactions with him.

Doocy labeled these revelations as evidence of the “biggest cover-up in Washington, D.C., since Watergate.” He said:
“Yesterday, there were zero questions about this huge Wall Street Journal story that cites 50 people familiar with, apparently, the biggest cover-up in Washington since Watergate.”

He continued: “The story, it was 18 pages long when I printed it, but the gist is that there were staff, unelected White House staff, who knew during the last campaign and transition that President Biden might be diminished, and they actively worked to hide that information from the American public.”

Doocy also noted: “And we don’t know what it necessarily means for his decision-making, but this is a huge story, and somehow there was no curiosity.” He mentioned his colleague Jacqui Heinrich, who was in the briefing room but wasn’t called upon during the session.

In another development, Biden faced backlash over his decision to commute the death sentences of nearly all federal inmates on death row, sparking outrage among critics.

Joey Mannarino took to X to lambast Biden, saying: “Joe Biden just commuted the sentence of a man who orchestrated the murder of a 12-year-old girl and her mother. He nearly beheaded the girl. He shot her in the head four times and then disposed of her body in a wooded area.”

According to DeathPenaltyInfo.org, Biden commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 individuals on federal death row, reducing their punishment to life without parole. The exceptions were Robert Bowers, who carried out the 2018 Tree of Life Synagogue shooting; Dylann Roof, who killed nine Black parishioners at the Emanuel AME Church in 2015; and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, convicted for the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Fox News reported: “The men being resentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole are convicted of various murderous acts against one person or multiple. Among the victims of the 37 men are law enforcement officers, children, and other inmates.”
