Haley Shredded After Implying That Trump Is Doing Russia’s Bidding Over Ukraine

Former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley faced intense criticism online following her remarks on Wednesday, where she implied that President Donald Trump was aligning with Russian President Vladimir Putin in his efforts to mediate peace in the ongoing Ukraine war.

Haley, who previously served as South Carolina’s governor for two terms and as Trump’s UN ambassador during his first administration, took issue with Trump’s description of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Trump had referred to Zelenskyy as a “dictator without elections” and posted online, “I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered.”

Trump further characterized the Ukrainian leader as a “modestly successful comedian” who convinced the United States to pour billions into a war he believes is unwinnable. He also stated that the U.S. was actively involved in “successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia.”

Taking to X, Haley criticized Trump’s comments, implying they echoed Moscow’s messaging. “These are classic Russian talking points. Exactly what Putin wants,” she stated, prompting significant backlash.

“War monger Nikki Haley. I can’t tell you apart from Lindsey Graham. I have to wonder what will be exposed about you. It is like you all out yourself,” one X user wrote.

“You are WRONG on every level! These are NOT ‘Russian talking points’ but to interfere in negotiations, like you are, proves you should NEVER be allowed to run for POTUS ever again,” another added.

Yet another user stated: “Your opinions carry no weight. You are irrelevant. You have no power and you will never be elected President. Americans can’t stand you. We all know you’re a f**king liar and a fraud. It would be best if we never hear from you again. Bye!”

“I don’t need Russian talking points, I don’t support the current conflict and think we shouldn’t give another dime of military aid since they already ‘misplaced’ 100 billion dollars,” another critic commented.

One more user weighed in, saying, “Hey Nik, I’d sit this one out…it won’t bring you back into relevance.”

Vice President JD Vance recently affirmed that President Trump was pursuing constructive discussions between Russia and Ukraine while maintaining that the U.S. had a “range of options” if Putin failed to engage in meaningful negotiations ensuring peace for Ukraine.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Vance emphasized that Trump was committed to reaching a peace agreement and that various incentives would be available to encourage Russia’s participation.

“If you look at President Trump’s approach to this, the range of options is extremely broad, and there are economic tools of leverage. There are, of course, military tools of leverage. There’s a whole host of things that we could do. But fundamentally, I think the President wants to have a productive negotiation, both with Putin and with Zelenskyy,” Vance told The Journal.

“I think there is a deal that is going to come out of this that’s going to shock a lot of people,” he added.

Vance’s comments came just before his scheduled meeting with Zelenskyy in Munich. European officials indicated they were closely observing the discussions to gauge Trump’s stance on resolving the nearly three-year-long Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Ahead of Vance’s visit, Trump disclosed that he had engaged in a “lengthy conversation” with Putin.

Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that he and the Russian leader had “agreed to work together, very closely.”
