He 'Just Took a Fake News Reporter's Soul' - Watch Trump Economist Shred Reporter's Anti-DOGE Question in 7 Seconds Flat

The mainstream media consistently champions the cause of government employees, a core voting bloc for the Democratic Party.
Naturally, when these media figures act like partisan operatives by attacking Elon Musk—owner of social media platform X and head of President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, which has exposed rampant fraud in the federal government—they reveal themselves as nothing more than mouthpieces for the entrenched elites who want to keep the corruption going.
On Thursday, a video posted to X captured a moment where Kevin Hassett, Director of the White House National Economic Council, responded to a reporter’s weakly framed question with an answer so succinct, so rooted in undeniable logic, and so devastating to the reporter’s apparent agenda that, as one X user put it, “he took her soul.”
“So you’re saying that everybody who’s being let go was doing a bad job?” the reporter asked.
In Trump’s determined effort to dismantle the unelected deep state, he has removed large numbers of federal employees.
“I’m saying that we’re studying every agency and deciding who to let go and why,” Hassett replied. “And we’re doing so very rationally, with a lot of support from analysis.”
The reporter remained unsatisfied.
“Because we’re being told by a lot of people who have been let go at other agencies that they were told they were being dismissed because of poor performance, when in some cases they haven’t even had a performance review yet, because they’ve only been on the job a couple of months.”
Then came Hassett’s crushing response.
“Yeah, I’ve never seen a person who was laid off for poor performance say that they were performing poorly,” he said with a smile.
Meanwhile, White House press secretary and rising MAGA star Karoline Leavitt clearly endorsed his point.
“Good point,” Leavitt remarked as she stepped back to the podium.
THIS IS BRUTAL! Trump's economy guy, Kevin Hassett, just took a fake news reporter's soul.

The reporter’s question, unsurprisingly, assumed a sympathetic stance toward federal employees. In essence, she was asking, “How dare you dismiss these people who have assured me of their great work?”
Certainly, some of those employees may be competent individuals.
However, that does not mean their government jobs, or even the agencies employing them, should remain in place indefinitely.
Over recent decades, Washington, D.C., insiders have accumulated vast wealth. Given that they generate no real economic value, their fortunes come solely from siphoning resources that rightfully belong to American taxpayers.
That reality alone makes it clear that merely claiming to perform adequately is not enough to justify their positions.
If the American people determine that certain government jobs or entire agencies no longer serve the nation’s best interests, those roles and institutions must be eliminated. And by electing Trump, the people made their decision.
So, while establishment reporters may continue posing insincere questions laden with faux concern for privileged government workers, it won’t change anything.
Democrats and their media allies have played the emotional manipulation card one too many times. It no longer has the impact it once did. Trump himself remains unfazed, and so do his supporters.
