HUGE Congratulations To Dan Bongino!
In a recent interview on podcaster Benny Johnson’s show, Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, expressed support for President-elect Donald Trump’s consideration of Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent turned conservative commentator, to lead the Federal Protective Service.
“I think Dan would be great,” Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, stated during the interview. “Dan Bongino at the Secret Service would be with us on the change that needs to take place to focus on the mission of that critical agency.”
As reported by Forbes in November, Trump is weighing Bongino alongside Sean Curran for the top role at the agency.
Bongino has been an outspoken critic of the Secret Service, particularly following two failed assassination attempts on Trump during the summer. “Let me be perfectly clear: the [first] assassination attempt on President Trump was a catastrophic failure on behalf of the United States Secret Service,” Bongino previously wrote.
The fallout from the first attempt led to the resignation of former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle. Cheatle stepped down after being questioned by Congress and faced bipartisan pressure to either resign or be dismissed due to what was described as “egregious incompetence.”
Forbes noted that, at the time, “Trump has chosen people for a handful of Senate-confirmed Cabinet-level jobs, and he’s picked a White House chief of staff, a communications director, and a national security adviser, among the key roles that don’t require confirmation.” Since then, Trump has appointed numerous individuals to key positions.

Just days before the November 5 election, Bongino went viral for revealing allegations of covert efforts by Kellyanne Conway and other Republicans to undermine Trump and his campaign. The purported plot involved opposition to Trump’s selection of JD Vance as his running mate.
On his show, “The Dan Bongino Show,” Bongino dismissed media reports suggesting Trump regretted choosing Vance as “absolute bullsh*t.” He implied that such rumors might stem from leaks within Trump’s own team, pointing to a Daily Mail article claiming Trump was “melting down” over his decision to pick Vance.
“There’s a lot of internal sabotage going on right now that I honestly did not want to highlight because I like to stay focused on the Democrats and I was hoping it would go away. It’s not,” Bongino stated.
Bongino further suggested that Vance’s stance on Ukraine, which advocates a cautious approach, might be creating dissatisfaction among some Republicans. He pointed to the “Kellyanne Conway camp” as a possible source of the leaks, stating, “I strongly suspect this was a leak from people who wanted another candidate for vice president.”
According to Bongino, certain individuals favored a more aggressive approach to Ukraine due to its lucrative opportunities for many stakeholders. In contrast, JD Vance has championed a more measured perspective. “Trump and Vance are a ‘great ticket,’” Bongino asserted, while criticizing those he believes are sabotaging the team.
“There are people out there sabotaging the ticket right now, instead of just shutting up and trying to win now with this great ticket,” Bongino remarked.
In a pointed message directed at Conway and others, Bongino issued a stern warning: “You’ve been warned. I’m going to say to Kellyanne and others: It’s time to pipe down. You’ve been warned. I’ve had about enough.”
