HUGE Congratulations To Dan Bongino!
In an interview on podcaster Benny Johnson’s show late last week, Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, expressed his support for Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent turned conservative media personality, to lead the Federal Protective Service under President-elect Donald Trump.
“I think Dan would be great,” said the Ohio Republican during the interview. “Dan Bongino at the Secret Service would be with us on the change that needs to take place to focus on the mission of that critical agency.”
According to a November report by Forbes, Trump is weighing his options between Bongino and Sean Curran for the leadership role.
Bongino has been an outspoken critic of the Secret Service, particularly after two assassination attempts on Trump’s life during the summer.
“Let me be perfectly clear: the [first] assassination attempt on President Trump was a catastrophic failure on behalf of the United States Secret Service,” Bongino previously wrote, criticizing the agency’s shortcomings.
Following the first attempt, former USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned under pressure after intense congressional questioning and bipartisan demands for her removal.
“Trump has chosen people for a handful of Senate-confirmed Cabinet-level jobs, and he’s picked a White House chief of staff, a communications director, and a national security adviser, among the key roles that don’t require confirmation,” Forbes noted at the time, highlighting the pace at which Trump is assembling his administration. Since then, Trump has appointed numerous individuals to key positions.

Just days before the November 5 election, Bongino sparked controversy by revealing allegations of internal sabotage within Trump’s campaign, including claims that Kellyanne Conway and other Republicans were secretly working against the president’s decisions.
Bongino pointed specifically to efforts to undermine Trump’s selection of JD Vance as his running mate, describing media speculation about Trump regretting the decision as “absolute bullsh*t.”
On his show, The Dan Bongino Show, he suggested that these rumors could have originated from leaks within Trump’s team, possibly prompted by a Daily Mail report claiming Trump was “melting down” over Vance.
“There’s a lot of internal sabotage going on right now that I honestly did not want to highlight because I like to stay focused on the Democrats, and I was hoping it would go away. It’s not,” Bongino explained.
Bongino noted that some Republicans may be dissatisfied with Vance’s cautious stance on Ukraine, in contrast to the more aggressive approach favored by others.
“All signs point to the ‘Kellyanne Conway camp,’” Bongino alleged. “I strongly suspect this was a leak from people who wanted another candidate for vice president.”
He elaborated that financial interests in Ukraine have made some Republicans more inclined to support a hawkish approach, while Vance advocates for caution.
Despite the challenges, Bongino described Trump and Vance as a “great ticket” and criticized those he believes are sabotaging their chances.
“There are people out there sabotaging the ticket right now, instead of just shutting up and trying to win now with this great ticket,” he stated firmly.
Bongino also issued a direct warning to Conway and others: “You’ve been warned. I’m going to say to Kellyanne and others: It’s time to pipe down. You’ve been warned. I’ve had about enough.”
