It's Time to Worry: House Foreign Affairs Chair Confirms Worst Fears on NJ Drones

Does real life now follow a storyline reminiscent of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy? In other words, is a rising power in the East becoming a threat to our civilization?

Either way, our greatest fears stem not from this emerging power itself but from the fact that our own government either does not know the truth or refuses to disclose it.

According to the New York Post, Republican Representative Michael McCaul of Texas, who serves as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, claimed on Tuesday that the recent wave of drone sightings over New Jersey and other areas, especially near U.S. military sites, most likely originates from Communist China.

“We need to identify who is behind these drones,” McCaul stated before attending a classified briefing with executive branch officials. “My judgment, based on my experience, is that those over our military sites are adversarial and most likely are coming from the People’s Republic of China.”

To be clear, McCaul’s assertions were largely based on circumstantial evidence.

“I believe they’re spy drones, and the PRC, Communist China, is very good at this stuff. We know they’ve purchased land around military bases. This would align perfectly with their activities over the past couple of years,” the congressman elaborated.

Indeed, McCaul’s hypothesis about the drones’ origin appears as credible as any proposed so far.

Others have speculated that the drones might be connected to Iran or that friendly entities might be using them in a desperate attempt to locate missing radioactive materials.

One thing remains undeniable: the Biden administration has provided no clarity on the matter.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump has asserted that the federal government knows significantly more than it has disclosed to the public.

Until more information emerges, McCaul’s claims merit close examination.

On one hand, there is no dispute that the Chinese people have endured an oppressive Communist regime since 1949. For sheer authoritarian brutality, Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution during the 1960s and early 1970s stands as one of modern history’s most harrowing examples.

Additionally, Communist regimes, by their nature, often adhere to globalist ideologies. The Soviet Union’s Communist International, or Comintern, openly promoted and sought to incite global revolution.

Furthermore, certain Chinese activities within the United States, such as deploying spy balloons and purchasing American land, might reasonably suggest hostile intentions.

On the other hand, Chinese civilization has existed in various forms for thousands of years. Historically, the Chinese have rarely exhibited aggression beyond their borders or region. Even when interacting with Western powers, China has generally preferred subtle strategies. For example, during the Korean War, as the U.S. Eighth Army approached the Yalu River marking the border between North Korea and China, Chinese forces quietly maneuvered behind American troops and launched a surprise attack. This resulted in one of the most devastating defeats and longest retreats in U.S. military history.

The current situation involving conspicuous drone activity across New Jersey and other regions is anything but subtle.

In conclusion, McCaul’s theory may hold water. China likely possesses both the capability and the motivation to execute such a drone operation.

The real issue, however, lies in the U.S. government’s persistent secrecy and lack of transparency.

Trump’s 2024 election victory, at least in part, reflected Americans’ growing distrust of their government. This mistrust traces back decades, at least to 1963, while the federal government’s culture of secrecy—a culture incompatible with the Constitution and democratic self-governance—has its roots in the early Cold War era.

This status quo must end. Trump’s return to the White House must herald an era where the federal government is stripped of its ability to conceal vital truths from the American people, ensuring that no government official would dare to withhold critical information.

Only then will speculation like McCaul’s become unnecessary.
