Joe Rogan Reveals Unacceptable Conditions Harris Sought For Interview
President-elect Donald Trump recently appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast in an extended interview, but Vice President Kamala Harris declined a similar invitation due to her team’s conditions.
According to The Daily Caller, Rogan shared that Harris’s team had presented several demands, including Rogan traveling to her for the interview. While Rogan was open to most restrictions, he would not compromise on keeping the conversation unedited, which led to Harris declining the appearance.
“There were a few restrictions they didn’t want to talk about, but I said, ‘I don’t give a f**k,’” Rogan explained. “They wanted to know if I edit... There’s no editing.”
Theo Von, another podcast host, confirmed that Harris’s team had also asked him about editing. Rogan noted he’d offered flexibility, inviting Harris to his studio in Austin at any hour to have a “real conversation,” saying, “I just wanted to talk... I’m [going to] see the pattern of the way you think, the way you process ideas.”
On October 29, Rogan shared on X that while Harris’s team proposed a date, they insisted he travel to her and limit the conversation to one hour. “I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin. My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being,” he said.
Rogan also explained his motivation for hosting Trump, revealing that he decided to invite the former president after a serious attempt on Trump’s life. On July 13, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks fired eight shots toward Trump, grazing his right ear with one shot and tragically injuring three attendees.
Just two months later, another would-be assassin, 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, was arrested in West Palm Beach, Florida, after Secret Service agents spotted him armed with a rifle behind a hedgerow near Trump’s golfing location.
These incidents deeply affected Rogan, who decided that it was critical to hear directly from Trump and give him a platform to discuss his views in detail.
