Kamala's Marriage on the Rocks: Sources Claim She Blames Husband for Election Defeat to Trump

Doug Emhoff may no longer be the supportive partner former Vice President Kamala Harris needs, according to a new report.
A report from the U.K.’s Daily Mail alleges that Harris, who has pointed fingers at several individuals for her losses to President Donald Trump—including former President Joe Biden—has now shifted her frustration toward her husband, Emhoff.
“Kamala thinks there’s plenty of blame to go around, and Doug isn’t exempt from that,” the Daily Mail quoted an unnamed source as saying.
“Doug didn’t exactly help Kamala during the election. He came across as a hypocritical a** after it was revealed he got his child’s nanny pregnant while married to his first wife and faced allegations of assaulting an ex-girlfriend—all while championing his ‘I am woman’ campaign,” the source reportedly told the outlet.

During the campaign, the Daily Mail highlighted that Emhoff allegedly had an affair with his child’s nanny during his first marriage, resulting in a pregnancy.
The outlet also noted claims by a former girlfriend, accusing Emhoff of being abusive.
In another incident, Emhoff was reportedly accused of hitting a woman he was dating at the time during the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. However, a representative for Emhoff denied the claim, telling Semafor that the “report is untrue.”
Kamala Harris is blaming her husband Doug Emhoff for her election loss? She didn’t even take his last name, and now she’s blaming him for her own failures? Could never be me! What a psycho. We really dodged a bullet with this one. pic.twitter.com/OofG8GS7ps

Further, the Daily Mail reported that while working at the law firm Venable, Emhoff was known for prioritizing appearances over intelligence when hiring and allegedly enjoyed undermining women he didn’t like.
The latest report from the Mail claims that Emhoff, who stepped away from his California law practice to support Harris’s presidential campaign, is considering joining a New York-based firm. Meanwhile, Harris is said to be returning to California to strategize her next political moves.
“I see signs that not everything is hunky-dory in the Harris household,” the Daily Mail’s source said.
The source also suggested that Harris’s political career has benefited from male allies in the past, referencing her affair with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. “But what does Doug bring to the table for her now?” the source questioned.
The Daily Mail speculated that Harris might launch a presidential campaign in 2028.
Ashley Etienne, Harris’s former communications chief, said, “I was with her last week, watching her sign her desk.”
“She looked at me and said, ‘You know me well enough to know that I’m not going to go away quietly,’” Etienne shared.
