KJP Struggles To Name A Single Accomplishment Of Kamala Harris

An awkward moment occurred when a reporter questioned White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about Vice President Kamala Harris’s most notable accomplishment.

During the press briefing, Jean-Pierre was asked to provide details about a “specific policy” that Harris had achieved.

President Joe Biden had assigned Harris, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, to tackle the “root cause” of illegal immigration, but she has not held a press conference since receiving the nomination. Criticism has also been aimed at how she’s managed the border issue.

The reporter pressed Jean-Pierre: “What does Biden view as Harris’s biggest achievement during their time in office?”

Jean-Pierre responded, “Look, because they’ve been partners … certainly those historic, unprecedented achievements have been done together.”

From there, the interaction became even more strained.

“And he [Biden] has said himself, one of the proudest decisions he made in 2020 was choosing her as vice president because he believed she was ready from day one. I’m not going to single out anything from here,” Jean-Pierre said.

The reporter, still seeking more specifics, asked, “Is there no particular policy, or is it more of a comprehensive whole?”

Jean-Pierre answered, “I would say it’s a comprehensive whole.”

WATCH:

According to a recent poll, former President Donald Trump holds a lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in five of the seven critical swing states that are expected to determine the outcome of the 2024 election.

A survey conducted by AtlasIntel among likely voters in battleground states reveals that Trump leads in Pennsylvania (51 percent to 48.1) and Michigan (50.6 percent to 47.2).

In the states that are still up for grabs—Arizona (49.8 percent to 48.6), Georgia (49.6 percent to 49), and Wisconsin (49.7 percent to 48.2)—Trump also has a “narrow” advantage, as reported by AtlasIntel. Harris leads in Nevada (50.5 percent to 47.7) and North Carolina (50.5 percent to 48.1).

AtlasIntel was ranked by FiveThirtyEight as one of the most accurate polling firms for the 2020 presidential election. If Harris secures 248 Electoral College votes but Trump captures the five battleground states where he is currently ahead, he would win the 2024 election with 290 Electoral College votes.

The surveys were conducted by AtlasIntel between September 20 and September 25, with a margin of error ranging from two to three percentage points.

In response to the poll, a Trump official told Newsweek, “Americans are fed up with Kamala Harris and her failed policies that have caused surging inflation, an uncontrolled border, and rampant crime that terrorizes communities. The American people can recognize incompetence when they see it, and she is weak, ineffective, and dangerously liberal.”

The AtlasIntel poll shows that Trump could win two of the most critical “blue wall” battleground states that Harris needs.

For Harris to secure the necessary 270 Electoral College votes, she must win Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

In addition, Harris would need to win the Electoral College vote in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, where polls suggest she has a good chance.

Joe Biden flipped Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District in 2020 after Trump won it in 2016. Maine and Nebraska are the only states that allocate Electoral College votes by congressional district instead of using a winner-take-all system.

In November, even if Trump only wins North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, he would still have enough electoral votes to claim victory.

Moreover, Trump could secure the election by winning in all four Sun Belt swing states: Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and Nevada. Alternatively, he could win by flipping just one of Wisconsin or Michigan.

Recent polling data from several reliable organizations suggest that former President Donald Trump could be headed for a “landslide” victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
