Maxine Waters Breaks Down in Public, Spouts Bizarrely Wild Lies About Melania as Ignorant Crowd Eats It Up

Well, if nothing else, California Rep. Maxine Waters is at least predictable. Predictably outlandish, sure, but at least she’s consistent.

Fresh off warning that America was teetering on the brink of a “civil war,” the Democratic congresswoman took things a step further. She told a crowd that if President Donald Trump was serious about deporting non-citizens who are in the country illegally, he should start by looking at first lady Melania Trump—his legally naturalized U.S. citizen wife—or her parents, who are also U.S. citizens.

In a video seemingly captured from a weekend rally in Los Angeles, Waters riled up the audience by suggesting, with impeccable logic, that FLOTUS should be scrutinized for removal in the same manner as criminal gang members.

“If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe I would first look at Melania!” Waters exclaimed.

“We don’t know whether or not her parents were documented,” she added in a tone that gave the impression she was performing for a low-budget “Mystery Science Theater 3000” film.

“And maybe we better just take a look!” she concluded.

Oh, what a zinger! That is, until someone in the audience did a quick Google search and discovered exactly where Melania Trump and her parents came from and how they legally obtained their U.S. citizenship.

Also, one can only assume Waters actually meant “those who weren’t born here.” As of now, individuals born in the U.S. are granted citizenship, though the Trump administration has questioned birthright citizenship under the Fourteenth Amendment. However, that’s not even the demographic currently being targeted for deportation, and, in any case, Melania’s status remains unaffected.

Melania Trump was born in 1970 in the former Yugoslavia. Following the collapse of the Soviet Bloc and the restructuring of Eastern Europe, she became a citizen of Slovenia.

She arrived in the U.S. legally on a visa to work as a model and later married a U.S. citizen—someone you may have heard of or even voted for.

She officially became an American citizen in 2006. Her parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, were naturalized in 2018, according to ABC News.

In other words, she exemplifies the very type of immigration that conservatives support—those who follow the legal process.

By definition, illegal immigrants do not enter the country legally. Changing terminology won’t change that fact.

Call them “undocumented” all you want, but why don’t they have documents, Rep. Waters? Did they misplace their green cards? Lose their visas? Fall victim to a burglary where all their official paperwork was stolen?

In California, that might not be such an absurd scenario, but in this case, the answer is obvious: The people she refers to as “undocumented” are simply in the country illegally. That means they immigrated unlawfully, making them illegal immigrants. To simplify it further, they’re simply “illegals.” See? It’s not complicated, Rep. Waters.

It’s not just the hollow, baseless threat that makes Waters’ outburst so astonishing—it’s her long-standing habit of inflammatory rhetoric aimed at anyone even remotely to the right of Dianne Feinstein.

But what’s truly baffling is the complete lack of forethought. Did no one on her staff run this idea through, say, ChatGPT before she risked this humiliating blunder? Or did these words simply spill from her mouth without any cognitive filter—assuming one still exists?

Unfortunately, we already know the answer. And this is yet another instance where AI demonstrates more sense than a sitting congresswoman. Sadly, that’s not exactly a high bar when we’re talking about Maxine Waters.

The silver lining? According to Waters’ own logic, she’s just as “deportable” as Melania Trump. As she so succinctly put it, “maybe we better just take a look” into that possibility before she causes any further damage. Or, perhaps an even better option—she can simply be voted out of office for incompetence. Either way, it’s long past time for this 86-year-old relic of political absurdity to step aside. Far, far aside.
