Maxine Waters Explodes in Rant Against Trump and Musk

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California erupted in fury on Tuesday, loudly denouncing both former President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk during an event in Washington, D.C.

At a protest rally organized by Democratic lawmakers opposing Musk’s involvement with the Treasury Department, Waters accused him of acting beyond his authority without voter approval.

“We have got to tell Elon Musk that nobody elected your ass. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country,” Waters declared.

Although Musk himself was never elected, his associate—Trump—was, securing a decisive victory over former Vice President Kamala Harris. Furthermore, key advisors and Cabinet members in any administration are appointed rather than elected, yet they still serve under the authority of the president.

Waters then claimed, without evidence, that Musk was profiting from the earnings of ordinary citizens to finance his ventures, such as SpaceX.

“We have told you that you’ve made enough money off our government yourself, and now you want to take everybody else’s payroll and make sure that they don’t make the kind of money that you’ve made. Oh, you want to use our money to go to Mars,” she continued.

The wealthy congresswoman also attacked Trump and other billionaires, alleging that they were working to control the country’s political and economic systems.

“We’re in a crisis in this country because Trump and Elon Musk and the billionaires have decided they’re going to put us all in our place. They’re going to run this country. They’re going to make sure that they take over everything,” Waters claimed.

“Are we going to let them do that? Are we going to let them run this government in the way that they can make even more money and so they won’t stop? It is so brazen every day they’re taking new actions. They’re taking executive actions. Every day they’re doing something,” she added in frustration.

Officials from the Treasury Department assured on Tuesday that federal spending would remain uninterrupted and reaffirmed their dedication to safeguarding the nation’s financial system. Their response followed scrutiny over granting Musk’s newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to treasury operations.

Additionally, Treasury officials announced plans for an internal review to improve the accuracy of payments to both government agencies and the public, as reported by the Daily Caller.

Other Democratic lawmakers also lashed out at Musk, throwing accusations and insults his way. “Elon Musk is a Nazi nepo baby, a godless lawless billionaire, who no one elected,” Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., declared at the rally.

“Elon, this is the American people. This is not your trashy Cybertruck that you can just dismantle, pick apart, and sell the pieces of,” she added. “We will see you in the court, in Congress, in the streets.”

“Elon Musk is seizing the power that belongs to the American people,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., stated while standing alongside Waters. “We are here to fight back.”

“We are gonna be in your face, we are gonna be on your a--es, and we are going to make sure you understand what democracy looks like, and this ain’t it,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, added.

“God d—it shut down the Senate!” shouted Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J. “WE ARE AT WAR!”

Meanwhile, conservative voices online swiftly condemned what they viewed as unhinged rhetoric.

“Rep Ayanna Pressley just called on her followers to agitate in the streets,” Libs of TikTok posted on X. “Typical Democrat doing what they do best: Calling for violence and chaos.”

“Democrat lawmakers are losing their minds now that their USAID scam is exposed,” conservative influencer Paul Szypula wrote on X. “Pressley needs to be censured for inciting violence.”

“Making Jasmine Crockett the face of your party is certainly a choice and one I highly encourage,” Red State writer Bonchie remarked.

“Rep. Jasmine Crockett is totally unhinged,” conservative commentator Ben Kew added.
