Megyn Kelly Says She’s ‘Disgusted’ By ABC’s Trump-Harris Moderators

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly took to her popular SiriusXM podcast Tuesday night to criticize the moderators of ABC’s debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of blatant bias.

Moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis faced criticism from both sides for repeatedly pressing Trump on various issues and attempting to fact-check him, while seemingly giving Harris a pass. Post-debate analyses also revealed that Harris misspoke multiple times and even repeated a widely debunked claim about Trump’s 2017 remarks regarding Charlottesville, Virginia.

“I’m disgusted. I’m ashamed of those moderators at ABC News,” Kelly said. “They did exactly what their bosses wanted. The head of ABC News is a close personal friend of Kamala Harris and even played a role in introducing her to her husband. Tonight, they did Dana Walden’s bidding. It was three against one on that debate stage.”

“It was three against one,” Kelly reiterated. “It’s easy to appear competent when both moderators are on your side. Trump did his best, but it was like three fighters in the ring against one. He was thrown off a few times, became unnecessarily defensive, and yes, even angry. And I was angry too — were you?”

Kelly added, “It was a mistake for the Republicans to trust ABC News with this debate. They must learn from this. Democrats never agree to debates with moderators they don’t fully trust. This should be the last time Republicans make that mistake.”

She continued, “The fact-checking was absurd. They fact-checked Trump repeatedly but didn’t question Harris, even though she lied multiple times. The moderators left it to Trump to fact-check her, but they didn’t extend him the same courtesy.”

Kelly also criticized Muir specifically, saying, “When Trump said he lost 2020 by a whisker, Muir interjected, ‘I didn’t hear sarcasm.’ Who cares what you heard, David? You’re supposed to be an objective news anchor, not a political analyst-in-chief. That’s something you say to your partner, not in a debate.”

“The worst part was the debate format,” Kelly added. “It went like this: ‘Mr. Trump, you said something awful. Do you have any regrets?’ Then they’d turn to Harris and ask her how bad Trump was. It kept happening. It was, ‘Mr. Trump, you’re a terrible person. Kamala Harris, isn’t he awful?’”

Her frustration culminated with a passionate statement: “I’m angrier than usual because this is infuriating. ABC News is trying to steal this election. They’re openly working to sink Trump. But I think it’s going to backfire. The American people will see through this, and there may even be some empathy for Trump.”
