Melania Trump Breaks Her Silence About ‘First Buddy’ Elon Musk

Melania Trump reportedly enjoys Elon Musk’s frequent presence at Mar-a-Lago, even as her husband, Donald Trump, has joked that the tech mogul may have “overstayed his welcome.”

Following Trump’s re-election to the White House last week, he and Musk have become nearly inseparable. The billionaire has become a familiar face at Trump’s Palm Beach estate, offering the president-elect a sense of comfort and camaraderie.

According to Page Six, a source revealed that Melania Trump is fond of Trump’s new “First Buddy” and appreciates having Musk around, even as some within Trump’s inner circle seem unsettled by this unexpected bond. “Melania likes Elon,” the insider shared.

Since Musk’s arrival on the scene, Melania has reportedly been “around more,” according to the same source.

Musk, who arrived at Trump’s Florida residence on Election Day last week, has remained a prominent figure at Mar-a-Lago. He has participated in various activities, including a musical performance, and has joined Trump on calls with world leaders, such as Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Although Melania was notably absent from the Trump family’s post-election photograph, Musk was front and center in the image, accompanied by his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii.

Last week, Trump appointed Musk as joint director of the newly established Department of Government Efficiency, a role aimed at slashing federal spending by $2 trillion.

However, not everyone shares Melania’s enthusiasm for Musk’s growing influence. Some within Trump’s close circle reportedly feel “iced out” and sidelined by Musk’s proximity to the president-elect.

“Everyone is jealous of Elon,” a source told Page Six. “His close associates are a tad miffed they have lost their prime seat.”

Kara Swisher, a seasoned tech journalist, told CNN that Trump insiders have expressed surprise over Musk’s increasing influence, with one remarking, “Oh wow, this is odd.” Swisher suggested that the dynamic between Musk and Trump could eventually lead to a clash. “He’s not going anywhere until Trump throws him out. Which could happen, because they’re both really strong personalities who like to be at the center of attention,” she observed.

Even Trump has begun to hint at Musk overstaying his welcome. “Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him – at least until I don’t like him,” Trump quipped on Wednesday after addressing House Republicans in Washington, D.C., according to Newsweek.
