Melania Trump Makes Huge Move Ahead Of Her Return To DC

As Melania Trump begins a new phase in her role as First Lady, the East Wing is quietly preparing for a return to public prominence.

Hayley Harrison has been named Melania Trump’s new chief of staff, bringing years of White House operational expertise to the role. Harrison’s appointment signals her importance in the Trump administration’s anticipated second term, as she combines loyalty, experience, and a deep understanding of institutional processes.

With preparations underway for the 47th president’s potential return to the White House, the Office of Melania Trump announced the news on social media. “Mrs. Harrison has maintained an integral role and exceptional leadership on the First Lady’s team over the past seven years,” the statement read.

“She has a strong understanding of White House operations, and as Chief of Staff, Mrs. Harrison will oversee and manage the East Wing’s team while strategically liaising with other parts of government.”

This marks the first addition to the East Wing staff since Donald Trump’s election as president. In the final years of Trump’s first term, Stephanie Grisham served as Melania’s chief of staff, resigning shortly after the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The Chief of Staff is responsible for overseeing the First Lady’s projects, public engagements, and office operations. This role includes strategic planning, policy advising, public relations guidance, and managing staff to ensure smooth operations.

Additionally, the Chief of Staff acts as a bridge between government agencies and external organizations, coordinating the First Lady’s visits, speeches, and media relations. They organize events such as public campaigns and White House functions, supporting her advocacy efforts and maintaining her public image.

Since departing the Trump White House, Hayley Harrison and her husband, William “Beau” Harrison, have remained close to the former president. On January 20, 2021, they joined the Trumps aboard Marine One en route to Mar-a-Lago, as reported by DailyMail.

Both Hayleys have played significant roles in Trump’s post-presidency activities through his Save America PAC. Hayley earned between $8,000 and $10,000 per month, while Federal Election Commission records indicate that William received a similar salary until November 2023, when his final payment from the PAC was issued.
