Melania Trump Makes New Move In Preparation For White House Return

First Lady-elect Melania Trump has named Hayley Harrison as her new Chief of Staff, marking a significant addition to her East Wing team as the Trump administration prepares to return to the White House. Harrison, a seasoned aide with extensive experience in White House operations, brings loyalty, expertise, and institutional knowledge to the role, positioning her as a key figure in the administration’s second term.

The Office of Melania Trump announced the appointment on social media, praising Harrison's leadership over the past seven years.

“Mrs. Harrison has maintained an integral role and exceptional leadership on the First Lady’s team over the past seven years,” the statement read. “She has a strong understanding of White House operations, and as Chief of Staff, Mrs. Harrison will oversee and manage the East Wing’s team while strategically liaising with other parts of government.”

Harrison previously worked alongside her husband, William “Beau” Harrison, in the Trump White House and has remained closely connected to the family since their departure. The couple relocated to Mar-a-Lago with the Trumps after the 2020 election, symbolizing their steadfast loyalty.

In her new role, Harrison will be responsible for overseeing Melania Trump’s initiatives, managing public engagements, and coordinating East Wing operations. Her appointment reflects a renewed focus on continuity and strategic planning as Melania Trump reclaims her role as First Lady.

Last week, First Lady Jill Biden and President Joe Biden welcomed President-elect Donald Trump to the White House to discuss a smooth transition of power. While Melania Trump declined Jill Biden’s invitation to the annual gathering of incoming and outgoing first ladies due to commitments related to her book, she received a handwritten letter of congratulations from the current First Lady.

President Biden assured President-elect Trump of a cooperative transition, saying, “Looking forward to having a smooth transition. Can make sure you’re accommodated, give you what you need.”

Trump responded earnestly, “Thank you, thank you very much. Politics is tough and, in many cases, not a very nice world, but it is a nice world today. I appreciate very much a transition that is so smooth.”

President-elect Trump has pledged sweeping reforms to the federal government, unveiling a ten-point plan to restructure bureaucratic systems and combat what he calls the “deep state.” His proposals include reissuing a 2020 executive order granting the president authority to dismiss “rogue bureaucrats” and pushing for greater transparency and accountability within national security and intelligence agencies.

Meanwhile, controversy continues to surround President Biden’s recent pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, which has sparked heated political debates. Trump, in response, has hinted at issuing mass pardons for January 6 defendants upon taking office, signaling his continued focus on addressing grievances tied to his base.
