Melania Trump Reflects on Husband’s 2024 Campaign: ‘This Time Is Different’
In a recent appearance on Fox & Friends, former first lady Melania Trump discussed her husband’s renewed bid for the White House. Reflecting on his 2024 campaign, Melania expressed a sense of preparedness, contrasting it with her experience after Donald Trump’s 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.
The interview began with the co-hosts highlighting Melania’s latest book, Melania, and they explored how she and the Trump family are managing this campaign cycle.
“I’ve got my copy with notes all over it. It’s an incredible read,” remarked Ainsley Earhardt, one of the co-hosts. “It’s filled with stories about your time as First Lady and your upbringing. People need to pick it up. So, one week out—how’s the family handling it?”
“I feel good,” Melania responded. “My husband is everywhere, traveling non-stop. Sunday was an incredible day with so much support.”
Steve Doocy, another co-host, then asked, “This is your third time through the campaign trail—2016, 2020, and now. What feels different?”
“It’s similar to 2016; the support has been overwhelming,” she replied. “People are watching the country’s direction, thinking about the American dream. On November 5, they’ll decide what kind of leadership they want.”
Lawrence Jones continued, “From the start, you emphasized being a mother to Barron. But we saw you on stage recently. Why the increased visibility now?”
“I love New York, and Madison Square Garden was amazing,” she shared, referring to her recent public appearance with Donald. “I wanted to show support for my husband and everyone who believes in him.”
When Brian Kilmeade asked, “If you do win, are you looking forward to being First Lady again?” she responded, “This time is different. I’m not anxious—I’ve got the experience now. You know what kind of people to bring on board who share your vision.”
In a prior interview with Fox News, Melania spoke on left-wing criticism impacting her husband and family.
Additionally, Melania revealed a surprising setback in her recent charitable efforts. She had intended to fund scholarships for foster children but was turned down once her identity was revealed. “It was agreed they’d accept my donation for foster students, but when they found out it was me, they declined,” she explained.
Melania also defended Donald Trump against common media and left-wing critiques. “People need to know he’s passionate about the country and cares for everyone. He wants Americans to feel safe and prosper,” she said. “I know he can come across as tough, and people may dislike some tweets, but he’s fighting for the good of the country. Politics can be ruthless.”
