Melania Trump Responds To Her Prior ‘Modeling Work’
Former First Lady Melania Trump recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to defend her past nude modeling work while promoting her upcoming memoir.
“Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling work? The more important question is: Why has the media chosen to scrutinize my celebration of the human form in a fashion photo shoot?” Melania said in a video posted on the platform.
She continued, “Can we no longer appreciate the beauty of the human body? Throughout history, master artists have celebrated the human form, evoking deep emotions and admiration.”
“We should respect our bodies and uphold the timeless tradition of using art as a profound form of self-expression,” she added.
According to Skyhorse Publishing, Melania’s new memoir, titled Melania, will hit bookstores in October. Her office described the book as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome challenges, and defined personal excellence.”
Melania Trump’s history with nude modeling was highlighted during the 2016 presidential campaign when the New York Post published several nude photos from a 1995 shoot for a now-defunct French men’s magazine. The headline on the cover read “The Ogle Office,” CNN reported.
At the time, Donald Trump told the media that the photos were taken for a European magazine before he and Melania knew each other, adding, “pictures like this are very fashionable and common.” A 2000 British GQ cover featuring a nude Melania aboard Trump’s plane also resurfaced during the campaign. A year after that photoshoot, Melania gained legal residency in the United States through the elite EB-1 program, according to the report.
Earlier this month, Melania teased her memoir’s release, stating that after years of “public scrutiny and misrepresentation,” she intends to “share the truth.”
“Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey,” she shared in a video posted on social media.
“As a private person who has often faced public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to set the record straight,” Melania explained, ahead of the memoir’s October 1 release. “I believe it is important to share my perspective: the truth.”
The 54-year-old former model, who married Donald Trump in 2005, announced her memoir in July. Skyhorse Publishing promoted the book as “an intimate portrait of a woman who has led an extraordinary life.”
The memoir is expected to feature “stories and images never before shared with the public,” according to the publisher.
In another recent revelation, Donald Trump shared that his youngest son, Barron Trump, learned about an incident involving his father while at a tennis lesson.
In an interview with Fox News' Mark Levin, Trump recounted the moment when Barron was informed that his father had been shot. “He’s a good tennis player. And someone ran up to him and said, ‘Barron! Barron! Your father’s been shot,’” Trump recalled. “He loves his father. He’s a good kid, a good student. And he ran, asking, ‘Mom! What’s going on? What’s going on?’”
