Musk to Hit Massive Financial Milestone, Set Record for Highest Net-Worth in World History

In just a few years, Elon Musk is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire, marking an extraordinary leap in wealth accumulation.

According to an analysis by Informa Connect Academy, which tracks the wealth of prominent individuals, Musk is on track to reach the trillion-dollar milestone by 2027. His current net worth stands at $249.1 billion, per Forbes, but it has been growing at an annual rate exceeding 100%, largely driven by the rapid expansion of his companies like Tesla.

If Musk continues at this unprecedented pace, he will break new records for net worth. Historically, many consider 14th-century Mali Emperor Mansa Musa the wealthiest individual ever, with an inflation-adjusted fortune estimated to be between $400 billion and $600 billion. Should Musk cross the trillion-dollar threshold, he would surpass even Musa, securing the title of the richest person in history.

Currently, Musk tops Forbes’ "Real Time Billionaires List," with Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and Mark Zuckerberg trailing behind at $197 billion, $193.5 billion, and $175.3 billion, respectively.

The academy’s report also suggests that other billionaires, including Indian magnate Gautam Adani, NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang, Indonesian entrepreneur Projogo Pangestu, and LVMH founder Bernard Arnault, could follow Musk into the trillion-dollar club in the coming years. By 2050, 30 billionaires are expected to surpass the trillion-dollar mark.

Though no individual has yet achieved trillionaire status, several companies have. Notably, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway crossed the $1 trillion valuation in August, joining the ranks of tech giants like Nvidia, Microsoft, and Apple.
