Netanyahu Ignored Kamala Harris' Advice and Won a Stunning Victory Against Hamas

When Vice President Kamala Harris congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week on his significant victory over the Hamas terrorist organization, she omitted the fact that this success came after Netanyahu disregarded her prior advice.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces eliminated Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader responsible for orchestrating the October 7, 2023 massacre that claimed over 1,200 lives, including 46 Americans, according to Fox News.

Harris, alongside President Joe Biden, praised Netanyahu for Sinwar's demise.

“Today, Israel confirmed that Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas, is dead,” Harris announced during a Thursday press conference. “And justice has been served, and the United States, Israel, and the entire world are better off as a result.”

However, both Biden and Harris had expressed a starkly different opinion earlier this year, cautioning Netanyahu against a military offensive in Rafah.

“We have been clear in multiple conversations that any major military operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake,” Harris told ABC News’ Rachel Scott in a March 24 interview.

“I have studied the maps. There’s nowhere for those folks to go,” Harris added.

When Scott pressed on whether the U.S. would impose consequences if Israel ignored its warning, Harris responded, “I am ruling out nothing.”

Biden also issued a warning in May, during a CNN interview, stating: “I made it clear that if they go into Rafah – they haven’t gone in Rafah yet – if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities – that deal with that problem.”

Yoni Chetboun, a highly decorated former member of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) special forces and a reserve lieutenant colonel, shared with Fox News what the outcome might have been had Netanyahu taken Biden and Harris' advice.

“Had Prime Minister Netanyahu listened to Biden and Harris and not entered Rafah, we may have never reached Sinwar,” said Chetboun, who also previously served as a lawmaker in the Knesset.

“The people of America and Israel overwhelmingly supported our entry into Rafah and want to see Hamas consigned to the pages of history. Now it’s time to finish Hamas and bring the hostages home,” he emphasized.

Yet, despite Israel’s military success, the Biden administration continues to press the Jewish state to pursue peace.

“It is time for this war to end,” Biden said Thursday after disembarking Air Force One, according to The New York Times. He reportedly urged Netanyahu to “move on” during a call, The Times added.

However, Netanyahu remains resolute, maintaining the same position he has held since the attack on Israel, despite pressure from the Biden administration.

“This war is not over,” Netanyahu reiterated, according to The Times.
