During a visit to the White House on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented President Donald Trump with an unforgettable gift.
According to The Times of Israel, Netanyahu actually brought Trump two items: pagers—one gold and one standard.
The golden pager was a tribute to Israel’s successful operation in September, during which thousands of pagers detonated, resulting in the deaths and injuries of Hezbollah operatives, including high-ranking members.
An inscription on the golden pager read, “To President Donald J. Trump, Our greatest friend and greatest ally. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”
Upon receiving the gift, Trump reportedly responded, “That was a great operation,” as noted by Israel’s Channel 12 news, according to The Times.

The day following the pager attack, The Times reported that “hundreds of walkie-talkies also blew up, killing and injuring scores more.”
A Reuters report from September, citing anonymous sources, claimed that Mossad had intercepted a shipment of 5,000 Taiwan-made pagers ordered by Hezbollah, embedding a small amount of explosives in them before they reached their destination in Lebanon.
“The operation was an unprecedented Hezbollah security breach that saw thousands of pagers detonate across Lebanon, killing nine people and wounding nearly 3,000 others, including the group’s fighters and Iran’s envoy to Beirut,” Reuters stated.
Netanyahu’s visit marked the first time a foreign leader had come to the White House since Trump’s return to office.
During a joint press conference, Netanyahu told Trump, “This is a testament to your friendship and support for the Jewish state and the Jewish people.”
“You are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House,” he continued.

Netanyahu also highlighted Trump’s previous actions in support of Israel, such as recognizing Jerusalem as its capital and relocating the U.S. embassy there. Additionally, Trump acknowledged Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights and pulled the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal, a move Netanyahu strongly supported.
Trump also played a key role in brokering the Abraham Accords, which helped Israel establish peace agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.
Since returning to office, Netanyahu noted that Trump facilitated the release of Israeli and American hostages from Hamas and permitted the transfer of munitions that had previously been delayed by the Biden administration.
Despite challenges to U.S.-Israel relations under Biden, Trump stated, “the bonds of friendship … have endured for generations, and they are absolutely unbreakable.”
He further expressed confidence that “under our leadership, the cherished alliance between our two countries will soon be stronger than ever.”
As a token of appreciation, Trump gifted Netanyahu a framed photo of the two of them from their White House meeting, inscribed with the words: “To Bibi, a great leader.”
It seems that the strong diplomatic relationship built during Trump’s first term has resumed without missing a beat.
