Pelosi Sets Social Media Ablaze With Unhinged Claim About Trump
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat who has served in Congress since the early 1990s, recently made an unverified statement about former President Donald Trump, just as remaining voters prepare to head to the polls on Tuesday.
During an interview on MSNBC, Pelosi argued that Trump’s mental faculties are declining similarly to what she described as a clear decrease in President Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities. She further asserted that voting for Trump could essentially mean voting for “horrible” Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio), Trump’s running mate.
Ironically, Pelosi seemed to stumble during her interview with Jen Psaki, Biden’s former press secretary and now an MSNBC host.
“I think what the ex-president just said is further indication of his cognitive degeneration. You saw recently how he was talking about whether he chose electrocution or being eaten by sharks. Something is very wrong there, and indicative also is diminishing the power of the press, which is the guardian of our freedom in our country,” Pelosi remarked. She also claimed that ‘the media’ is crucial to freedom in the U.S., though recent polls show public approval of the media is at a historic low.
“So, I think people might consider voting for him but should be aware that he may not last four years as president given the rate at which his mental state is declining. They might actually end up voting for J.D. Vance, and that would be a terrible outcome for our country,” Pelosi continued.

A CBS News/YouGov poll from July indicated that 72 percent of Americans doubt Biden’s “mental and cognitive health to serve as president,” a rise of seven percentage points from three weeks prior.
By contrast, Americans are split on Trump’s mental suitability for office, with 50 percent saying he is fit and 49 percent disagreeing.
The same poll revealed that a significant portion of Americans, including nearly half of Biden’s own party, believe he should not seek a second term.
Following a challenging debate against Trump, Biden faced mounting pressure within his own party to step down. Ultimately, he withdrew and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
CNN reported at the time that Biden’s family, including First Lady Jill Biden, son Hunter Biden, and his grandchildren, gathered at Camp David in a pre-arranged family meeting. Family members expressed “unequivocal support” for Biden’s continued campaign, according to Biden’s advisers.
The family, reportedly frustrated by Biden’s debate preparation team, discussed with Biden whether any top campaign advisors should be replaced or if there were other staffing changes necessary, one adviser told CNN.
