Piers Morgan Rips Harris As ‘Most Far-Left Senator,’ Drops Big Prediction
British TV journalist Piers Morgan described Vice President Kamala Harris as the “most far-left senator” in recent history, while also predicting that the “honeymoon” phase she’s enjoying as she starts her presidential campaign will be brief.
Morgan appeared on Fox News Saturday Night with host Jimmy Failla, who had earlier compared former President Donald Trump to Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, noting that both are showmen who haven’t slowed down with age. Morgan also forecasted that Trump was just beginning his campaign for the upcoming election.
Turning to the 2024 race, Morgan expressed his belief that Harris would face significant challenges against Trump in November. He suggested that Biden was pressured to exit the race by Democratic Party leaders and likened their actions to the ruthless behavior depicted in the 1990 mafia film, “Goodfellas.”
“I think this entire situation has been a fascinating display of the ruthless and treacherous nature of politics,” Morgan remarked. “One moment, they’re all over you, and the next, they treat you like an inconvenience.”
Failla then asked Morgan about the media “propaganda” that he claimed casts Harris in a favorable light while often ignoring her track record and general unpopularity.
“Now we’re being told she’s the best person ever, even though when she ran for president, she was trailing behind ISIS,” Failla joked.
“She’s currently enjoying an incredible honeymoon period, but it’s going to be short-lived,” Morgan predicted. “Reality will soon set in, and Donald Trump will start going after her record aggressively, as he already has. Her record shows that she is arguably the most far-left senator in modern American history.”

On HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher also criticized Harris and her chances of beating Trump during his Friday show.
“The Vice President will inherit all of Biden’s campaign funds, and on the Democrats’ key issue, abortion, she serves as a stark reminder to women that Republicans are targeting the abortion pill. She won’t just defend Plan B; she is Plan B,” Maher joked.
“And as a former prosecutor, Kamala was tough on crime before liberals decided that was a bad thing. Now that CVS is locking up everyday items, Democrats are warming up to her again,” Maher added.
Maher continued by pointing out Harris’ lack of national electoral success.
“Harris would be the first female president, first Black female president, and first Asian president. But I don’t vote based on who will be the first; I vote for who will win. And for some reason, Harris has never been popular. You could count the number of delegates she won in the 2020 primaries on one hand, as long as that hand has no fingers,” Maher stated.
Earlier in July, Maher criticized Harris for being notably unlikable and reminded viewers that she secured zero delegates during her 2020 run for the Democratic nomination.
“Yes, replacing a president as the party’s candidate at this stage might seem significant,” Maher said. “But it’ll be a big deal for about three days, and then everyone will move on.”
Maher also mentioned several potential Democratic candidates to replace Biden, including Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
