Pirro Says ‘I Am Not Well’ After Listing Harris’ Flip-Flops in CNN Interview

Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro strongly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris following what she called a “trainwreck” interview on CNN.

During a segment on Fox News, Pirro and host Sean Hannity discussed Harris’ interview, where she appeared alongside her running mate, Tim Walz.

“Welcome back to this special edition of Hannity. We continue to monitor Kamala’s interview on CNN, her first sit-down since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race. Here’s what she told the network about how her position on fracking has changed,” Hannity began.

Hannity then played a clip from Harris’ CNN interview, which aired Thursday night, where she was confronted about her changing stance on fracking.

CNN’s Dana Bash questioned Harris: “In 2019, you said, ‘there is no question I am in favor of banning fracking,’ which is a significant issue, especially in the must-win state of Pennsylvania. Do you still want to ban fracking?”

Harris responded: “No, I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking as vice president, and as president, I will not ban fracking.”

Bash followed up: “In 2019, at a town hall, you were asked if you would commit to implementing a federal ban on fracking on your first day in office, and you said, ‘no question, in favor,’ so did that change during the campaign?”

Harris replied: “In 2020, I made it clear where I stand. We are in 2024, and I have not changed that, nor will I going forward.”

Pirro and Hannity criticized Harris for what they perceived as a flip-flop on the issue.

“Harris was also asked about her changing stance on issues like the border. She suddenly claims to support prosecuting those who cross the border illegally. She also said she and Biden did good work on the economy and that she’s proud of her record. Even claiming that Biden was very clear from the beginning that he would endorse her after dropping out. And Walz admitted his grammar was incorrect when he claimed he carried weapons of war in war, which he never did,” Hannity remarked.

Pirro added: “I am not well! First, she said she wants to ban fracking, but then Dana Bash followed up, and she claimed she made it clear during the debate that she was against fracking and hasn’t done anything since 2020. What is she talking about, Joe? She’s lying, no question about it. I think we’ve found a reason why.”

CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale called out Harris for her claim that she made it “clear” as early as 2020 that she would “not ban fracking as vice president.”

Following the interview, Dale spoke with host Abby Phillip and noted that Harris’s claim was inaccurate.

“The bottom line of the fact-check is that she did not actually make it clear in a 2020 debate that she had changed her previous support for a fracking ban. Let me walk you through this. At a CNN climate town hall in 2019, she said there was ‘no question’ she was ‘in favor of banning fracking,’” Dale explained.

Dale and CNN then aired a clip from 2019 where Harris stated she was “in favor of banning fracking.”

Dale continued: “She ended her 2020 presidential run in December 2019. The only debate she participated in during 2020 was the general election debate with then-Vice President Mike Pence. I reviewed the transcript of that debate, and nowhere does she make it clear that she had abandoned her previous support for a fracking ban; rather, she reiterated that Joe Biden, the head of the Democratic ticket at the time, would not ban fracking.”

Dale played a clip from the debate to support his point.

He added: “It makes sense that at the time, she was speaking on behalf of Biden. The president, not the vice president, sets administration policy, but maybe others see it differently. I didn’t hear anywhere in that debate where Kamala Harris personally abandoned her previously expressed 2019 view; she was speaking for Joe Biden.”

This criticism comes as new polls suggest that the “surge” Harris experienced after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race last month is beginning to fade.
