Police Charge Armed Woman For Alleged Threat to Trump: Report

Police in Washington, D.C., have detained a Texas woman, Christina Montoya, who allegedly journeyed to the city with a loaded firearm and issued threats against former President Donald Trump.

According to a statement from the D.C. Metropolitan Police, the Secret Service initially alerted law enforcement to Montoya’s threats.

“Through the detectives’ investigation, 41-year-old Christina Montoya of San Antonio, Texas, was arrested and charged with carrying a pistol without a license, possession of an unregistered firearm, and making threats against a former president,” police said in a statement.

Investigators revealed that threats against the former president commenced on July 20. Police located Montoya’s vehicle and, upon searching it, discovered a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield pistol, a magazine, and a gun lock, according to the police report.

There have been multiple threats against Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, in recent weeks, including an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pa., on July 13.

In the week following the attempt, Jupiter, Fla., police arrested a Florida man who was charged with making “written threats of murder” against Trump, Vance, and their families.

Police stated that 68-year-old Michael M. Wiseman was arrested on Friday for allegedly issuing written threats to murder. Authorities reported that Wiseman had posted threats against the Republican presidential candidate and the vice-presidential candidate on his Facebook profile, according to Fox News.

Authorities received warnings about potential physical harm from several individuals within the area. Jupiter, Florida, is approximately 20 miles, or a 30-minute drive, north of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach. “JPD coordinated the investigation with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office,” the department said. “JPD officers took Wiseman into custody without incident.”

Meanwhile, conservative pundit, author, and radio host Dan Bongino has raised new questions for his former employer, the U.S. Secret Service, regarding a disturbing new video taken moments before the assassination attempt against Trump.

During a broadcast last week, Bongino commented on a cellphone video shot from a location behind Trump on stage. In the video, a “shadowy figure” is seen moving along the backside of a building, eventually stopping at a point with a perfect line of sight to the former president. That figure was later identified as the shooter, Thomas Crooks, 20.

Crooks was captured on the cellphone video moving across the roof opposite Trump for a few seconds before disappearing and reappearing moments later. Bongino, a former Secret Service agent with 12 years of service, noted that acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe had mentioned that local authorities were addressing “an issue” with the area where Crooks was spotted, referred to as “the three o’clock,” the Washington Examiner reported.

“If you’re looking at the three o’clock, how the hell do you miss this?!” Bongino said on his show as he played new footage from a counter-sniper locating Crooks on a nearby rooftop. “This is a cellphone camera! This is not a zoom, high, telephoto, freaking lens used to film a Marvel movie! It’s a cellphone! You can see the guy clear as day! How did they miss this?!” asking, “What is left to defend?”

Bongino continued to criticize the agency and the Biden administration for asking Americans to “believe the implausible” regarding the Secret Service’s excuses for not preventing Crooks from firing at Trump, grazing his right ear while killing a rallygoer and wounding two others.
