Popular Conservative Journalist Appointed To Top Government Job

Former President Trump's speechwriter and Revolver News founder Darren Beattie has been elevated to a senior role within the U.S. State Department.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio appointed Beattie as the acting undersecretary of state for public diplomacy. According to the department’s website, "The Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy leads Department efforts to expand and strengthen the relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other countries." The role encompasses overseeing various bureaus and offices that "advance national interests by seeking to engage, inform, and understand the perspectives of foreign audiences."

For Beattie to take on the position permanently, he must first receive confirmation from the U.S. Senate.

In a letter shared on Revolver News, Beattie acknowledged the appointment, which was initially reported by Semafor.

“Over the past four and a half years it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to pour my blood sweat and tears into making Revolver News the news website that I always thought American patriots deserved. I think it is now more than fair to say that pound for pound, Revolver stands as the most cutting-edge, influential, and fearless voice for Americans who want to learn the truth,” Beattie expressed to his readers.

Revolver News played a key role in uncovering inconsistencies regarding the January 6 pipe bombing case, including Vice President Kamala Harris’s whereabouts at the time. Despite aggressive efforts by the FBI to charge Trump supporters with trespassing on January 6, the individual suspected of planting the pipe bomb has yet to be identified after years of investigation.

When U.S. military personnel were scrutinized for potential connections to “extremist” organizations in 2021, Revolver News was instrumental in exposing former President Biden’s military standdown order. Former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s directive highlighted symbols such as the American flag, Christian tattoos, and the thin blue line flag as possible indicators of “extremism.”

Beattie also expressed gratitude to President Trump for his efforts in securing the release of over 1,500 individuals incarcerated in connection to January 6, noting that the president has frequently cited Revolver’s investigative work. Beattie stated, “I am leaving Revolver News for the time being, but I have been given the great honor of serving once again in Trump’s administration, this time in the Department of State.”

“Helping Secretary Rubio and my esteemed colleagues in the State Department fulfill President Trump’s agenda will require every ounce of my focus and energy, and accordingly, I will for the time being suspend my direct editorial involvement in Revolver News,” he concluded.
