Rob Schneider Announces New Women’s Talk Show to Rival ‘The View’

Actor and comedian Rob Schneider has revealed plans to launch a women’s talk show through his media company, presenting it as an alternative to ABC’s The View.

“‘No Apologies Media,’ my new company, we’re going to do an all-ladies talk show that won’t be like ‘The View,’” Schneider said during an appearance on “Fox News @ Night” Monday. “It will be the opposite because this will be entertaining. It’ll be funny.”

The comedian emphasized that the program will feature talented, humorous women sharing jokes, stories, and discussions on health and wellness. “It’ll have funny women on it that are going to tell jokes and tell stories, and health and wellness,” he added.

Schneider also teased that the show will feature “household names” and will begin filming before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to Fox News.

Unlike The View, which he criticized for its political overtones, Schneider aims to create a show that prioritizes comedy over politics. “We’re going to have an entertaining show with people — from all over America,” he said, noting that the focus will be on laughter instead of “shaming” people through political discourse. “People are sick of it. … We’re not just trying to bring people who are angry and bitter and reinforcing their political echo chamber.”

Advocating for Free Speech

Schneider has increasingly spoken out about the perceived threats to free speech in America. His new book, You Can Do It!, named after his well-known movie catchphrase, calls on Americans to boldly exercise their First Amendment rights and actively defend freedom of speech.

“Now’s the time to stand up. Now’s the time for courage. I mean, this government and our freedoms require something – eternal vigilance. Or we’ll lose it,” Schneider told Fox News Digital during the book’s launch in September.

The comedian stressed the foundational role of free speech in America’s democracy. “Freedom of speech is the First Amendment, not third, not fourth, not even second,” Schneider said. “Even before guns, our Founding Fathers realized that the real weapon to prevent tyranny – even more important than guns – was unfettered free speech.”

Comedians and the Fight for Free Expression

In his book, Schneider shares candid reflections on his relationships with comedy legends like David Spade and Chris Farley. He also highlights the daring efforts of 20th-century American comedians who risked their careers—and sometimes their lives—to challenge societal norms with bold humor. These stories underscore a key theme of the book: comedians have long been at the forefront of defending free speech by testing the limits of what society deems acceptable.

Schneider argued that this commitment to free expression is particularly critical today, as he believes media outlets and major corporations are increasingly silencing dissenting opinions. He claimed these entities have been “captured” by liberal ideologies, suppressing voices that challenge the mainstream narrative.

Schneider’s Take on Politics and Responsibility

Speaking on the current political climate, Schneider pointed to what he sees as a direct threat to free speech. He stated that this threat is evident in the Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris’s agenda. “And that is under attack by these, you know, Marxists in our government, and I say Marxist in the traditional meaning of it. Kamala Harris is a Marxist,” he asserted.

He criticized the state of the political system, claiming it is corrupt and calling on Americans to take responsibility. “At what point do we have to take responsibility and say ‘Enough’? Or unless, we are just going to give it over,” he said, adding that his book serves as his personal stand against this.

“I’m one of those people. I wrote a book. I’m doing what I can daily. I’m telling people if they want to listen to it, they can listen to it,” Schneider concluded.
