Secret Service Director Caves – She’s DONE

Following a legal order from Chairman James Comer (R-KY) of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, Kimberly Cheatle, the Director of the U.S. Secret Service, has agreed to testify before the committee on Monday regarding the recent failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

“Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle will testify before the House Committee on Oversight on Monday,” stated Anthony Guglielmi, Chief of Communications for the Secret Service, on Friday.

“The Secret Service is fully accountable for the safety of its protectees. We are committed to better understanding what happened before, during, and after the assassination attempt of former President Trump to ensure it never happens again. That includes complete cooperation with Congress, the FBI, and other relevant investigations.”

This decision comes in response to a thorough examination and public demand for clarity on the factors that led to a security breach during the incident. “The American people are seeking answers and clarity regarding the Secret Service’s shortcomings that resulted in the attempted assassination of President Trump.

However, they are not receiving the desired level of responsibility and openness from the Department of Homeland Security under President Biden,” Comer stated in a recent announcement of the subpoena.

Director Cheatle’s testimony is expected to provide crucial insights into the Secret Service’s actions and the specific shortcomings that may have allowed the assassination attempt on Trump. Legislators plan to investigate the security measures in place during the incident and the subsequent actions taken by the agency to prevent such breaches in the future.

Investigators have found that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the individual responsible for the assassination attempt, had made two previous visits to the location. He also had photographs of both Trump and current President Joe Biden on his mobile device, although his motives remain unclear. Local authorities in Butler informed the Secret Service that they do not have sufficient staff to adequately secure the building from which Crooks carried out his attack.
