‘Squad’ Member Crockett Roots For Mexico, Canada to Beat U.S. Under Trump

Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett stirred controversy this week during a live interview that sparked widespread backlash.

While speaking with the hosts of the New York City-based radio show, "The Breakfast Club," she made a startling remark, admitting she was siding with foreign nations over the United States—the very country she vowed to serve and protect.

"The fact that I’m rooting for Canada and I’m rooting for Mexico a lot is really wild," Crockett stated. "But they are really the ones that are speaking truth to power right now… They can see what it is, and they were like, ‘We are not messing with this crazy regime from Mar-a-Lago and basically calling them thugs.’"

She continued, saying, "That’s what it is, but I’m like, y’all knew who he was when y’all elected him, so don’t act surprised."

Later, during an appearance on ABC’s daytime talk show "The View," Crockett made the unfounded claim that people fail to "understand" that President Donald Trump is working to "get rid of the Constitution … with a pen."

“You will understand when those hospitals in rural America start closing down even more. You will understand when you don’t have your Social Security. You will understand when your Medicaid, your Medicare, goes away,” she asserted. “You will understand as planes continue to fall out of the sky.”

She added, "We know that, typically, when people are feeling it, especially in the economy, they tend to just go the other way. The problem is that this wasn’t the guy to fix anything. This is the guy that is the king of breaking things."

Crockett was also among a faction of Democrats, spearheaded by California Rep. Maxine Waters, who recently led a rally condemning Elon Musk’s access to information within the Treasury Department.

“We have got to tell Elon Musk that nobody elected your ass. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country,” Waters proclaimed during the rally.

Though Musk himself was not elected, Trump—his reported ally—was, securing a significant victory over former Vice President Kamala Harris. Furthermore, many senior advisors and Cabinet members in any administration are appointed rather than elected, serving at the discretion of the president.

During the rally, Waters went on to accuse Musk of exploiting the earnings of working Americans to finance SpaceX and his other enterprises.

“We have told you that you’ve made enough money off our government yourself, and now you want to take everybody else’s payroll and make sure that they don’t make the kind of money that you’ve made. Oh, you want to use our money to go to Mars,” she alleged.

Other Democrats also took aim at Musk, launching verbal attacks. Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., declared, “Elon Musk is a Nazi nepo baby, a godless lawless billionaire, who no one elected.”

Pressley continued, “Elon, this is the American people. This is not your trashy Cybertruck that you can just dismantle, pick apart, and sell the pieces of. We will see you in the court, in Congress, in the streets.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., joined the chorus, shaking her fist alongside Waters as she proclaimed, “Elon Musk is seizing the power that belongs to the American people. We are here to fight back.”
